Animal print is always on-trend, and this fall (like every fall that’s come before) leopard print looks are especially in style. But just because something is in style doesn’t mean it’s easy to style. We all strive to be that girl who can pull off leopard print looks no matter where nor how she’s wearing it, so here are five ways to embrace the changing of the seasons, embrace new fashions, and wear leopard print looks this fall:
A leopard-print blouse is a great way to add visual interest to any outfit, whether it be with jeans or a great leather skirt. It gives the look depth and shows your wild side (pun obviously intended). This look is especially good for fall because a blouse is so versatile. Throw on a jacket and a skirt with tights and you’re ready for a chilly night, but paired simply with jeans is perfect for the warmer afternoons. Leopard-print blouses are as easy to dress down as they are to dress up, making them a must-have in any cool girl’s closet.

Sigh. Cut-off shorts are no longer seasonably appropriate once fall begins. Unless you live in Southern California, you’re probably about ready to store your shorts and bathing suits away until next summer. And although this can lead to major misery in many of us, fear not! Fall is a time to embrace new fashions. Like leopard-print pants. Print pants are mandatory for fall, and while plaid is always fun, leopard print really takes your look to the next level. Pair with a neutral-colored top and modest accessories for a sole focus on the leopard print.

If you’ve stumbled upon any of my other articles, you know I’m obsessed with a good midi skirt. And I have no shame because these skirts are literally perfect. With a more interesting silhouette than both maxi and mini skirts, midis add a bit of visual interest to any look. I’m not sure what it is, but there is something so quintessentially fall about a midi skirt. And leopard-print midis are everywhere. Similar to the aforementioned styles, pair this skirt with a black tee and a badass leather jacket for an undoubtedly cool yet totally effortless look. Like every girl needs a leather jacket, every girl needs a leopard-print midi skirt to go with it.

Okay, enough with all of these subtle leopard print looks. It’s time for a little fun. When you’ve learned to fully embrace your love for leopard print, it’s time to graduate to an over-the-top leopard-print jacket. Faux fur is a classic look, but there are other types of leopard-print jackets as well: motorcycle, a trench, a blazer, denim. The options are endless, and they all announce to the room that you’ve arrived. They say the most beautiful thing a woman can wear is confidence. I think that’s number two, with number one being a bitchin’ leopard-print jacket.

If you’re in doubt about how to style leopard print, no worries. The easiest way to incorporate it into your wardrobe is to start small. Start by rocking the hell out of leopard-print shoes or a purse. Leopard-print accessories amp up any outfit because they add a bit of daring, along with a whole lot of fun. If you’re feeling particularly brave, pair leopard-print flats with a leopard-print purse. You’ll walk into class, first day of fall semester, and the teacher won’t even have to call your name for roll. She’ll know you’ve arrived.
