Washing your hair can really be a struggle. I mean, seriously. If you have super long hair, processed hair, or thick hair, it can really be a hassle to get the strength up to wash it. That’s why the hair gods created dry shampoo, and us girls could not be more thankful for that.
However, there are some dry shampoos that really don’t seem to do their job. Whether it feels too cakey, too light, the smell is too much, etc. On the other hand, there’s a lot of dry shampoos that are great, they just are not for everyone’s hair type. Dry shampoo is somewhat an investment if you think about it, especially if you use it often. I have hair on the thicker side, but I’m super blonde. While I’ve tried and loved all of the following dry shampoos, some work better for specific hair types.
This is one of my all-time favorite dry shampoos–not only is it affordable, but it seriously is the best dry shampoo. You don’t need a ton of it, and your hair doesn’t get greasy for days. The longest I’ve gone without washing my hair using this was 5 days (a record for me). It’s super light on the hair, and it comes in a variety of different scents. They even have ones that are colored (for example if your roots are grown out).

I love the dry bar detox dry shampoo. It’s definitely pricier and comes in a smaller can, but it works well. I say this is more for someone with thicker hair because it can get a little cakey if you put too much in. I don’t have super thick hair, so I don’t prefer to use it all the time, but regardless it’s amazing, and it smells amazing too!

Another great dry shampoo that’s a little on the pricier side, but still works wonders. If you can get your hands on a bottle of the Mario Tricoci dry shampoo, do it! It has such a unique clean smell to it, and it’s super light. If you have super thick hair or hair that tends to get greasy fast, I don’t recommend using this because you might not think it does the job.

Kristen Ess does it again! Her hair products are to die for, and her dry shampoo is another great hit. It’s super inexpensive, and it will work great on all hair types because of the texture.

Living proof is my favorite “higher end” dry shampoo. Much like Drybar, it is a little heavier, so you may not prefer it every day. Some people like a heavier dry shampoo because they think it makes their hair feel cleaner, but it just is personal preference. Definitely one to try out if you’re willing to spend a little more!

I used to see these products advertised everywhere, so I finally gave it a go, and I loved it! This is good for all hair types, due to its moderate texture and feel. It smells super nice and it’s not going to break the bank either.

Another great one! Paul Mitchell is underrated for a lot of their products, but especially their dry shampoo. It can be hard to find, so going to Ulta, Sephora, or some other hair or cosmetic stores would be best.
