April Fool’s is coming up in a little less than a month and who else to pull off the best prank stunts than celebrities. Yes, celebrities, they’re just like us! Including the fact that they love to pull pranks on each other. Here are some of the best celebrity prank wars just in time for April Fool’s day!
In 2002, Jimmy Kimmel started a gag at the end of his late night talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, where he would end a lot of his shows by saying “my apologies to Matt Damon, we ran out of time!” Indicating that Matt Damon was a guest on the lineup but they just never got to him, even though he wasn’t actually there. So Matt Damon decided to follow up on the joke by having Jimmy Kimmel’s then-girlfriend, Sarah Silverman, shoot a music video with him called “I F***** Matt Damon” with Matt Damon himself in it.
Jimmy Kimmel then retaliated with a music video called “I F***** Ben Affleck”. Matt Damon then responded by opening one of Jimmy Kimmel’s show with him recording himself in a dark hood behind the scenes starting off by repeating Jimmy Kimmel’s words, “You ran out of time”, then revealing Jimmy Kimmel in the background tide up and gagged. Then he brings him out onto the stage and begins the show with Jimmy Kimmel still tied up in the background as if he is getting revenge for not having time left for him on the show. The videos are all up on Youtube and I highly advise you watch them to get a good laugh.
A few years ago, MTV’s PUNKED was revived and the start of the new season was hosted by Justin Bieber. He decided to pick Taylor Swift because, “she’s such a sweetheart, I wanted to make her cry” was his reasoning. So he decides to invite her over to shoot off fireworks. It was made to seem like one firework that she shot off his a boat that was out to sea and hosting a wedding. The actors on the boat jumped ship and Taylor Swift was convinced that she had blown up the boat with the fireworks.
While Taylor Swift and Keith Urban were on tour together, they had apparently been pranking each other the whole time. On the last day of the tour, Taylor Swift decided to dress up as Gene Simmons from the band KISS and join Keith Urban on stage during his performance, followed by a few others dressed up as the rest of the KISS band. The performance is actually pretty funny to see these metal looking guys and Taylor Swift, dancing and singing in the middle of a country singer’s performance. It’s on Youtube and I advise you to check it out!
Seth Rogan, Jason Segal, Charlie Hunnam decided to pull a brutal prank on Nick Stroller and here is how it was described on the Late Late Show with James Cordon:
“One time after Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Seth and I were hanging out at my house, and we invited the director, Nick Stoller over. We kept feeding him water trying to get him to go to the bathroom, and it took like an hour,” Segel explained. “He went over to the bathroom and we heard a scream of death, because Charlie Hunnam was laying in our bathtub covered in fake blood… He was in there for at least an hour.”
