College is rough, from exams, to work, to having a social life it can be hard to balance everything. But these apps are here to take some of the pressure off. Here are some of the best apps any college students needs to have on their phone.
This is one of the best apps for finding scholarships! You are shown scholarships that personalized for you so you only see the ones you qualify for. Scholly search also helps you stay on top of deadlines by having them clearly written by each scholarship.
You can even find scholarships based on what category it belongs in (financial, academic, personal, etc.). You won’t win scholarships overnight, there is still an entire process around picking the winner for each scholarship, so don’t lose hope if yours takes a while to get back to you.
It is a free download, but there is a free trial period and then you have to choose a subscription option that best fits you, so you will have to spend some money if you really want this app.
Algebra touch in another one of the best apps when it comes to math. Math invovles a lot, this app helps you review your algebra and helps maximize your learning. This app walks you through certain processes and even allows you to create your own probelm sets to work through using their equation editor.
The current version of this app covers simplifying, like terms, P.E.M.D.A.S., variables, basic equations, exponents, etc.
This is really helpful for someone like me who is not a math person. I was able to really relearn topics from class and get a better understanding of it by going at my own pace.
This app is free from the app store.
GoPuff is one of the best apps when it comes to delivery service. GoPuff is an app that lets you choose from a variety of items and have them all delivered to your door ASAP. They have food items including ring pops, popcorn, frozen foods, ice cream, etc. They also have drinks (even alcoholic drinks if you are over 21), home essentials including laundry stuff, and other more romantic necessities.
Every person who has delivered to me has been super nice and provided great service. It’s super simple and easy to set up all you have to do is enter your phone number and you are in! They will send you updates on your order via text and call you once they get to your place.
There is a delivery fee and sometimes their products can be a little pricey, but in the end it is worth it because when you have been studying for the past 3 hours a quick snack is needed to replenish your brain power.

Wildfire is one of the best apps to have on your phone because it sends you trending alerts right to your phone. These alerts include safety alerts, celebrity sightings, protests, and canceled classes. Most colleges have an emergency alert system, but wildfire is a quick and easy way to access alerts and what other people are saying about them on your campus.
Built by recent UC Berkley grads, this app will help you spread your alert like wildfire!
This great because it is tailored to your school and only shows trending alerts so you don’t get bogged down with useless alerts that don’t matter to you.

Did you ever hear your friends talk about professors they didn’t like and that you make sure you don’t want to have? Well, this app is basically that. Students can use this to find and choose the professor they think they will vibe with the most. You can also leave reviews of your professor so others know what that professor is like.
It was super helpful when signing up for classes. I just had to see which professors were teaching which section, find them on this app and then decide if they were going to be the right fit for me. This is one of the best apps any college student could have on their phone.

Quizlet is one of the best apps for studying. You create study cards and put them in the folder for that class, if you would like, you don’t have to create a folder. Then you can have a virtual set of flashcards that help you review and study for your next exam.
But, you can also search for study sets from people who have taken your class before. All you have to do is type in your university name and then the class name/ number into the search bar and it will find you study sets from people who have taken this class before you.
This app has come in handy when I need to quickly review a topic from class or even when I was studying for my exam, to see other classmates and how they study and use their study tools was really helpful.

Photomath is probably one of the best apps, if not the best app when it comes to math. This app allows you to take a picture of the equation or problem you are stuck on. From there it will show you how to solve it to get the correct answer.
It will ask you how you want to solve it, then give you step-by-step explanations for how they get to the answer. You can even enter equations into their smart calculator as well. It covers math from algebra to calculus to statistics. It has a wide range of topics and features to help any math student succeed!
