The Best Acne Treatment You Can Find Is Right Under Your Nose

After years of searching, my quest for finding the best acne treatment has finally ended. And I did not have to travel over the valley and through the woods to find it. In fact, this product is most likely sitting on the shelf in the drugstore down the street from you. Oh, and it costs less than $10!

Since I was 13, I have been plagued with extremely sensitive, acne-prone skin; a struggle that many can relate to. I have spent the last ten years curating different cleansing routines, shelling out money, and hunting for the right product. I have tried everything, from natural DIY treatments to the famous, beauty blogger loved, K-Beauty 10-Step routine. Some products, such as Clinique Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam, have helped tame my acne, but not permanently. After a few weeks of religiously using a product, my acne flared up again. I have experienced this countless times. I have even changed my diet to combat acne and gave up on dairy for three months and yet, to my dismay, I was still ridden with acne.

But even after buying those costly products at Sephora and trotting through the drugstore aisles, picking up everything from those little tubs of Stridex pads to the much-loved Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, there is one product that I haven’t picked up until recently: Clean & Clear Persa Gel 10

This little white tube has been sold at drugstores for a while. According to Clean & Clear’s website, this “unique formula that goes to work immediately, releasing the medicine deep into the pores where pimples start.” And from my experience using this product, this is no marketing gimmick. Within a few days of using this product, the stray pimples on my face completely vanished. Even when I first integrated it into my nightly cleansing routine, I woke up to clearer skin! I can confidently say that this is the best acne treatment that I have ever used!

Pros: It works fast

I am not even exaggerating. After doing my nightly routine and dotting the gel on blemishes and spots, I went straight to bed and woke up with noticeably clearer skin. But my skin luckily took to the formula instantly. Some people might see results in a few days after using this product.

Pros: It helps prevent new blemishes from forming

I have been using this treatment for about two months now, and I haven’t had any new blemishes form (knock on wood). It has gotten to the point that I have even stopped wearing foundation and concealer, and for once, my skin looks better without makeup!

Pros: It costs only a few dollars

Seriously, clearer skin is only a couple of bucks aways. You no longer have to spend an entire paycheck at Sephora.

Cons: It can be drying

The only con about this product that it can be a bit drying due to the high amount of benzoyl peroxide so it is best to pair this product with a lightweight moisturizer, especially if your skin is on the drier side.

If you have sensitive-acne prone skin and still struggling to find the right acne treatment, I highly recommend you try Clean & Clear Persa Gel as a nightly spot treatment. You can apply this treatment to your skin up to three times a day, but to start off, try applying it once a day, especially if your skin is very sensitive or prone to dryness.
