Thanksgiving Desserts You Won’t Be Able To Resist

The best part about Thanksgiving is obviously the food! While turkey and stuffing are classic Thanksgiving dinner staples, there is nothing that can beat a delectable dessert. If your mouth waters at the sight of pumpkin spice and caramel apples, then you have come to the right place. Here are Thanksgiving desserts that neither you nor your guests will be able to resist.

1. Pecan Pie Brownies

Pecan pie brownies are a fun new twist on the classic pecan pie. I’m sure you’ve had a piece of pecan pie every year at your Thanksgiving dinner, but now it’s time to update your recipe and add a little chocolatey sweetness to this classic dessert.

To make pecan pie brownies, you’ll need a 40-ounce family-size brownie mix, one cup of sugar, two cups of corn syrup, four eggs, ¼ cup of unsalted butter, two tablespoons of vanilla extract, and two cups of chopped pecans.

To bake the brownies, preheat the oven to 350 degrees and make the brownies according to the instructions listed on the box. While the brownies are baking, mix the sugar, corn syrup, eggs, butter, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Then, stir the pecans into the mix.

After about 30 minutes, take the pan of brownies out and pour your pecan filling over them. Place them back in the oven for another 40 minutes, and let the brownies cool before you cut them. Then, all that’s left is to enjoy!

2. Pumpkin Cheesecake

If you want to take your classic pumpkin pie to the next level, then you should definitely try out this pumpkin cheesecake recipe! This Thanksgiving dessert is perfect for people who are obsessed with pumpkin spice (guilty!).

To make pumpkin cheesecake, you’ll need a graham-style pie crust, 16 oz of cream cheese, ½ cup of sugar, two eggs, two teaspoons of vanilla extract, ½ cup of pumpkin puree, ½ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon of allspice.

To begin, preheat your oven to 350-degrees. Mix the cream cheese and sugar until it is light and fluffy. Then, add the eggs and vanilla extract, and continue to beat the mix. Pour about 1.5 cups of your filling into the bottom of the graham pie crust, and then add the rest of the ingredients into the remainder of the mix.

Once it is all stirred, pour the rest of the filling into the pie crust, and bake the cheesecake for about 30 minutes. Then, let it cool before you put it in the fridge for at least three hours. Slop on some whipped cream, and you have the perfect pumpkin cheesecake!

3. Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars

Caramel apple cheesecake bars contain layers of cheesecake, apple pie filling, and caramel that is sure to make your mouth water. This Thanksgiving dessert is straight out of Pinterest and is definitely a crowd favorite at any Thanksgiving party.

To make the caramel apple cheesecake bars, for the crust you will need 1.5 cups of crushed cinnamon graham crackers and 6 tablespoons of butter. For the cheesecake layer, you will need 16 oz of cream cheese, two eggs, ½ cup of sour cream, ½ cup of sugar, 1.5 tablespoons of vanilla extract, 1.5 cups of apple pie filling, and ⅓ cup of caramel topping.

To prepare this Thanksgiving treat, combine the crushed graham crackers and butter in a baking pan, and bake at 350-degrees for 8 minutes. Then, mix the cream cheese with the eggs, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla until creamy. Spread your batter over the baked crust of your bars. Bake your mixture again for another 45 minutes, and then completely cool the dessert in the fridge.

All that’s left to do is add the caramel topping! If you are a sucker for caramel apples, then you won’t be able to resist this sweet Thanksgiving dessert.
