A Thank You Letter To My Dad On Mothers Day

Here's a thank you letter to my Dad from his daughter to inspire those of you out there to love your father unconditionally everyday.

A father is the first male friend and counsel a girl has. Daughters tend to be closer with their father, because he is the one who sees them as princesses and who will do everything in his power to make them happy. Therefore this is my thank you letter to my Dad that he deserves to see.

Dear Dad,

First of all, I want to thank you for loving me no matter what and I need you to know that I love you, too, no matter what. Sometimes it’s difficult to show my love to you, both because I am not usually at home (studying abroad) or due to the fact that I am growing up and I tend to forget. However, this is not an excuse. That is the reason I am writing this letter to you. I want to tell you all those things that I keep inside like a treasure. How much I respect the fact that you stand by me when I am frustrated and nervous, how I miss giving you a goodnight kiss when I go to bed, how you trust me to do the right thing and how you cherish every moment we spend together as if it is our last.

Nevertheless, I want you to know most of all that even though I thank you for everything I have, it makes me sad that you put me above even yourself.

I need you to take care of yourself, because I am not always near to do it. As my father, you feel sad if I don’t take care of me. As your daughter, I ask of you the same. You take good care of mom and me, but you cannot give up on yourself. I want you to be healthy and happy. You make me proud every single day and I love you for it. Thank you for your patience with me and for your unconditional love.
