With so many amazing summer trends coming in for 2019, it can be hard to find the perfect one for you to rock this season. From bright and fun colourful pieces to an amazing array of animal prints and ornamental textile trim, here are 5 summer looks that are total fire to help get you inspired this summer.
Tie-dye is one of the grooviest summer looks that’s appeared on the spring and fall 2019 runways in new and versatile ways. With so many different variations and takes on the classic 60’s emblem, from the soft, floaty and muted toned tie dye gowns of Christian Dior to the bright and vibrant grungy looks from R13, there is definitely something for everyone.
Try recreating this trend with a classic t-shirt or hoodie, or for a more bold approach try incorporating tie-dye into your jeans or dresses to change up your outfits.

Many summer looks from 2018 have definitely stuck around for a second season. A prime example would be the cycling shorts trend that started popping up last spring and is still going full force for 2019. Part of the athleisure movement, these shorts have been dressed up with classic blazers and heels or kept casual with a pair of sneakers, a plain t-shirt and a fanny pack, appealing to various styles and preferences.
Recently, people have also been seen styling their cycling shorts with a matching top, whether it be a bra, tank top, or short-sleeve crop top, making it a summer 2019 go-to.

Another look that is here to stay for spring/summer 2019 is the neon trend. A classic from the 1980s, these fluorescent shades were part of last years fashion scene as a micro-trend, seen on the likes of the Kardashians, and have been brought back to the runways for a second season. From subtle pops of neon to head-to-toe ensembles, there are so many ways of incorporating it into your wardrobe, depending on how bright you’re ready to shine.
For beginner’s, most will suggest to start with a casual streetwear aesthetic like adding it in with a single piece like a hoodie, a crop top or as an accessory (shoes, sunglasses, etc).

This next summer look is another comeback from 2018 and promises to add an eye-catching element to any wardrobe piece. Seen mainly in Western inspired pieces last season, this year many designers have done a more modern take on fringe with beautifully elegant and sophisticated gowns seen on the runways at Tom Ford, Aigner, Oscar de la Renta and Emporio Armani.
Many have also kept the cowboy style with leather jackets embellished with fringe at R13 and Coach1941. This is a relatively easy trend to incorporate into any wardrobe and can bring a nice flair to jackets, skirts, dresses, shirts and even accessories like bucket bags or clutches.

This seasons hottest animal prints are anything from leopard to zebra to snakeskin to even cow! Mix, match and layer different prints together or keep it classic with a single statement piece.
Try combining two trends in one with a neon green snakeskin ensemble as seen on the runway at Off-White or going with a neutral toned zebra and leopard print mix as seen at Burberry for their spring/summer 2019 collection.
