It is recommended to exfoliate twice a week, so you don’t strip your skin of its natural oils. Exfoliating is super easy because there are several natural and homemade options for exfoliates. If you decide to make it yourself, try adding lemon juice into the scrub to help lighten the dark spots caused by too much sun exposure. After exfoliating it’s important to moisturize as well. Moisturizing every day helps hydrate your skin from the outside in and it will keep your skin looking smooth and flake-free. It’s also really beneficial to moisturize after time spent out in the sun. This helps strengthen the skin so it can fight against the impact of UV exposure by replenishing the lost moisture. You can use aloe-infused lotions to help alleviate the pain caused by sunburn.
Dry brushing is a new beauty trend that has a number of benefits! It is another great tool to combat dry skin during the summer. The brush will help your skin shed the dead cells and build new, brighter ones. Additionally, the firm bristles improve circulation which helps the body eliminate unwanted toxins. As the temperatures continually rises throughout the summer, it is inevitable that you will sweat. However, the sweat isn’t even the worst of it – it’s the acne that develops afterward.
