Summer Is All About Bright Colors, Here They Are

Bright colors are an essential statement for summer fashion. When it comes to accessories and nail colors, brighten up the season with neon pink, turquoise, and pops of color with bracelets, necklaces, tank tops, and bathing suits. No matter what you have planned for this summer, parties, days on the boat, bonfires, or beach days, we have all of the trends. Splash into summer in style! Here are six of the trending summer colors and everything you need to know for 2020.

1. Neon Nails

In the summer, we all want to rock colorful styles and trends. If you are ever unsure what color to get on your nails or toes, colors like bright, neon pink or coral peach are always in style. There is something about this color that will make anybody’s skin tone appear to be sunkissed. The good news is, you can even buy an OPI or Essie brand nail polish at TJ Maxx, and do ’em yourself for an alternative. Go wild this summer with bright nail colors! Nothing says summer like a bright pop of color on your nails!

2. Layered Bracelet

Bright colors for summer are a great way to enhance your seasonal wardrobe, and my favorite way to do that is by layering some colorful bracelets. These are easy to find and relatively inexpensive, I got a pack at Target a few years ago, but Pura Vida also carries a wide range of colorful bracelets. Exploring local shops and boutiques in your town surely won’t let you down either, so check that out too! I love this trend for summer and it is a great way to stand out. Pura Vida offers so many accessories, you can pick up rings, and anklets too! Most jewelry won’t cost you more than about $20.00 at the most, which is also a pretty good steal. Mix and match all different types of bracelets and rings, that is half of the fun!

3. Tank Top

When it comes to bright colors in the summer, you may feel that your options are limited. After all, you rotate between shorts, tanks, dresses, and skirts. A good way to brighten up your look so that you don’t feel like your wearing the same 3 outfits, is to layer a bright-colored tank. Choose between neon yellow, turquoise, lime green, coral pink, and the list goes on. I bought one at American Eagle many years ago, and I loved it. I went to Aerie this past spring and they didn’t let me down either! These tanks are incredibly useful, staple items in your summer closet! Pair them with a cute destroyed pair of jean shorts, or a jean skirt, and you are ready to take on the adventure of summer!

4. Bright Bralette

Who still wears bras these days? Seriously, bralettes are super comfortable, and now acceptable to wear instead of a tight, uncomfortable bra. In the summer, a great way to add bright colors to your outfit is by adding a bralette. You can throw this under a dress, tank top, t-shirt, or really anything, and it will look just fine. Choose a bright colored bralette this summer to really make a statement. Yellow, green, blue, red, pink, or really any color bralette will help achieve this look. You can find these at Aerie, American Eagle, Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister, or just about any typical mall store. One of the best things about buying a bralette is the fact that it actually costs HALF of what you would pay for an underwire bra at Victoria’s Secret. What are you waiting for?!

5. Neon Bikini

Okay, we may have talked a lot about neon colors and you are tired of hearing it by now. But seriously, neon bathing suits (or bikinis) are a HUGE summer staple item. Not to mention, if you have a hard time getting tan from the sun, this bathing suit will do the trick for you without the harm from excessive sun exposure. You can pick up this item at any mall store, or online, and it won’t cost you more than around $30.00. You will be wearing it a lot this summer! When it comes to summer fashion, July is not the time to be hiding behind dark or nude colors. Save that for fall and winter! Don’t forget to take a picture in your neon colors, because this is for sure a summer vibe.

6. Bright Necklace And Earrings

Last but not least, we have earrings and necklaces. My favorite way to add bright colors to an outfit is by adding jewelry. You don’t have to step out of your comfort zone, and you don’t have to spend a ton of money. I got a peach/ pink colored long necklace from Forever 21 a few years ago, and I loved it with dresses and other formal outfits. Francesca’s is another store where you can be sure to find a wide range of bright-colored accessories. Choose colors like yellow, turquoise, teal, peach or coral, and so on. You may not think this is your style, and that’s okay, but give it a shot! If you are wearing a nude top or a white dress, I think the best way to add some color would be a bright necklace. Brighten up for the summer of 2020!
