Summer Activities For The Best Experience

After quarantine is summer. Are you prepared to have the best summer experience ever? Get out of bed, make a good breakfast and try some of the coolest things to do in the summer. You won’t regret having fun, but you will regret letting the time past you by.

Live like there is no tomorrow because tomorrow is not guaranteed.

1. Hiking

Every year is the same. At the beginning of the new year, everyone makes resolutions about their body goals, but once summer comes around those goals are forgotten. Why stop working towards that beach body when the summer comes around? There is no better way to maintain your body goals than a day of hiking.

For me, I will hike on Stone Mountian this summer for a fulfilling workout, hoping to break a sweat. The view waiting for me on the top will be well worth the burn and ache in my muscles. I’ll have a small lunch packed and watch the cities thrive.

Don’t sit around all day in front of a television. Get out, put on some sunscreen, and find a hiking trail in your neighborhood. Body goals eh?

2. Lunch At The Park

Eating in the house this summer is so overrated. Everyone wants to dodge the sun but I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and have lunch at the park. Invite a few friends to join you at the park as it is one of the most popular things to do in the summer.  Maybe you will be lucky enough to find a tree for some shade.

A nice walk around the park can be very soothing. The perfect opportunity for you and your friends to catch up. Make sure no one forgets the pack of cards. Plus there ain’t nothing like taking pictures at the park. Let that melanin pop!

3. Arcade

If that summer heat is just totally not your thing, step inside of the cool AC-enhanced arcade for some relief and fun. Going to the arcade never gets boring. Whether you go by yourself or with the right group of friends, you will have the experience of a lifetime. I may be a little biased as I love to play video games in my spare time.

You could be the person to beat many high scores for just a few quarters. I challenge you! Find out where your local arcade is and spend a day in the arcade. Though there is way more to do than play arcade games. Most arcades have pool tables, air hockey tables, ping-pong tables, and darts.

You may just fall in love. But, it’s all about what you make of it.

4. Pool Time

Of all the things to do in the summer, I think this one is pretty obvious. The summer just isn’t complete without having a swim. Trust me, I’m telling you this from experience. Last summer, I didn’t go swimming and once I realized it, everything just felt off. Now I have to go swimming in a pool during the summer.

Think about it like this. The sun has been bearing down on you all day so you need something to cool you off. You eat ice cream, drink a few glasses of sweet tea, even the ice cubes you rub on your chest is little relief. There is no quicker way to cool off from the sun than splashing into the pool.

Vow to have some fun this summer.

5. Go To A Lake

This is also on the list of popular things to do in the summer. There are a lot of things you can do at the lake. You are only limited by your imagination. Take a break from the sun and cool off with the natural flow of a lake.

I find this experience rather fun with a few friends but it could also be the perfect place for some alone time. Clear your mind from the chaos and noise of the world by listening to the delicate melody of the lake. You might even find some beautiful birds and reptiles around.

If you are looking for a serene backdrop for your photos, why not use the beauty of the lake? Just a thought.

6. Go To Six Flags: White Waters

If you’ve never been to Six Flags, try it out this summer. One of the wildly known attractions in the and the top placeholder for the best things to do in the summer. Your experience will e a lot of things, exhilarating is just one of them.

There is a tidal pool, the whirlpool, and many slopes to slide down that will fill you with excitement. You could spend the whole day there if you choose; though, it is best to get there early because the sun is not very high and the lines are shorter.

7. Travel To The Beach, Any Beach

Did I hear someone say mini-vacay?! I’m already packing my bags. You can so much fun on the beach with a couple of friends or family. The trip down to the beach alone will be an adventure of its own.

There are many affordable options and package deals for travelers but if you have a family that stays close to a beach, you should definitely hit them up. So, what are you waiting for? Gather some money, hit up some friends and family, and take one heck of a trip to the beach.

The ocean breeze and warm sand will calm all of your senses. Chop chop! The beach awaits us.
