Top 4 Styles Of Applying Eyeliner

Your eyes are one of the most beautiful and expressive parts of your face. A well-done eyeliner can transform your natural look into something different and creative.

Every woman who regularly uses makeup understands the importance of a perfectly styled and done eyeliner. Makeup can never be complete without the use of an eyeliner that boots the dramatic look in you.

Want to get that gorgeous look? Here are some top styles of applying eyeliner that will get you through any time of the day.

Weekend Daytime Casual

For a daily or a weekend look, you probably don’t want an overly done style for your eyeliner. A basic line on the upper outer lid should be just fine.

Pencil liner is often easier and can be less messy than the liquid ones. However, feel free to experiment to know what really suits you best. If you are looking for an affordable pencil liner, Covergirl’s Perfect Blend is a great pick. It has a sponge on one end for easy and effective smudging.

To get a perfectly natural look, apply dots of the liner along the upper lid, as close to the eyelashes as possible. Then use a sponge, cotton swab or your clean fingertips (be careful if you have long nails) to blend the eyeliner in a natural and almost undetectable way.

For those of you who have your eyes set a little wide apart, apply the liner on the entire upper lid to make your eyes look closer together. On the contrary, if you feel your eyes are closer together, use the liner on the outer two-third or half of your eyelids.

The Work Liner

This truly is the best style to apply eyeliner to work demanding the least time and effort. You may spice it up with a neutral eye shadow as you apply the liner on the outside of your upper and lower lashes. Brown mascara would be a great compliment to this style.

Use a neutral eye shadow shade and use the dot and connect method to apply and then evenly blend the liner along the corner of your eyes in a preferably V shape. Smudge well to avoid any clear visible hard line.

Brown mascara will help tone down the look, making it professional and classy, without looking too “done” for the day.

Daytime to Evening Eyes

Line both the upper outer lid and lower outer lid. You can use a thick or thin line, depending on what you prefer. Classically, a thicker, softer line is preferred on a larger lid; whereas a thinner, more pronounced line is better for a small lid when lining upper eyelids.

For the lower lid, use the dot method, placing them as close to the lash line as possible. Be sure to smudge for a look that emulates thick lower eyelashes as opposed to a heavily-lined lower lid. If you choose to line from the inner lashes all the way to the outer lashes, this is definitely an evening look. Create a slightly more pronounced line on the top lid.

In colder weather, you might need to warm up your eye pencil to keep it from dragging when you apply it to your eyelid. You can do this by placing it under warm running water or rubbing it between your fingers.

High Definition Eyeliner by Max Factor is a show-stopping liquid liner choice if you prefer not to use a pencil. You might need to apply another layer of eyeshadow to freshen up the color you applied that morning or if you skipped shadow altogether. Putting on your shadow all over the lid after the liner will create a wash of color that helps liner blend and highlights your eyes without looking harsh. Finally, curl eyelashes and apply one coat of black mascara.

Party Eyes

The sexiest of them all, and a great look for sultry eyes. For a more outstanding look, you may style it with dark grey, or for a more newer look for the smoky eyes, use a deep bronze.

line the upper outer side of your eye with a liner of your choice, following the same for the lower side. You may consider using a thicker liner pencil or tip to get an on-point look in just one stroke.

make sure to fully line both the inner side of your upper and lower eyelids.

Next, fully line the inner rims of your upper (place the pad of your pointer finger under the upper eyelashes and hold them up to expose your upper inner lid) and lower lids. Then, apply two coats of lengthening mascara. Again, use your finger to lightly blend all of this together in a mosaic type manner. No one will be able to take their eyes off you!
