Strong AF Cocktails To Make For Christmas Eve

What better way to roll into Christmas day than celebrate with strong AF cocktails the night before? I’ve tried out a few fun cocktail recipes that will definitely get you and everyone else lit the night before Christmas.

The Very Cherry Christmas

Cherry vodka is blended with chocolate liqueur and Irish cream to make a creamy rich drink. It looks amazing and tastes like a chocolate covered cherry. You can garnish the drink with cherries on a toothpick to add color to the creamy white drink. Fill a shaker with ice and pour in the vodka, Baileys, the chocolate liqueur, and cream.

Shake well until chilled.

Optionally, drizzle a chilled martini glass with chocolate syrup.

Strain the mixture from the shaker into the glass.

The Mistletoe Martini

Cranberry is one of the many flavors of the holiday season, and this martini blends cranberry juice with vodka and elderflower liqueur. You can garnish it with real cranberries and mint leaves to spice up the cute look. The cranberries add a freshness to the martini and enhance the drink.

In a blender, blend ice, pineapple juice, blue curacao, vodka and cream of coconut until desired consistency is reached. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Mistletoe Margarita

The Grand Marnier combined with the cranberry and orange juice makes this a holiday drink. If you garnish it with cranberries or rosemary, it would be perfect for chilling with at a holiday party, and it will definitely give you that buzz you’re looking for with the tequila. Also, the white cranberry juice is so the color of the drink is clear and white, but if you want to add red to the drink you can definitely use red cranberry juice.

SIMPLE SYRUP

Stir together the water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk until the sugar dissolves and bring the mixture to a simmer. Remove from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.

Holiday Champagne Punch

This punch will be a hit at your party, and will definitely relieve some of the holiday stress that comes with the season. This cocktail is perfect for a party during the holiday season or you can even make it just for yourself and someone else on Christmas Eve if you want. The gorgeous pink color with cranberries and cinnamon sticks and orange slices thrown in will spice up any holiday event.

Garnish with cranberries, grapefruit slices, and cinnamon sticks.

Jingle Juice

You read that right, jingle juice. A big punch bowl of this for a holiday party (or you can lower the amount of each ingredient for serving one of two people) will make the event festive real quick. The citrus flavors, juice and booze can never go wrong and if you garnish it with cranberries and cinnamon, it’ll add a festive feeling to the drink.

Ingredients

Citrus Sugar:

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon lime zest

1 teaspoon grapefruit zest

1 teaspoon orange zest

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Punch:

3/4 cup Citrus Sugar

1 cup lime juice

1 cup lemon juice

2 cups orange juice

1 cup grapefruit juice

1 cup mango nectar

1 cup pineapple juice

3 3/4 cups Captain Morgan Spiced Rum

2 1/4 cup Grand Marnier

1 1/2 cups Amaretto

3 cups sparkling water

orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit slices, frozen cranberries for garnish

Instructions

Make the citrus sugar by combining the sugar, zests, ginger and cinnamon. Rub the zest between your fingers to release the oils. Let sit at room temperature for 4 hours or up to a a few days in an airtight container.

Peel the skins off of the fruit and juice.

Make the punch by adding the sugar to the bottom on the punch bowl. Pour in the juice and stir to start to dissolve the sugar. Pour in the alcohol.

Remember the ice ring we made? Dip the bottom of the container in some water for about 10 seconds. The ice should pop right out.

Garnish with frozen cranberries and fruit slices. Give it a taste, just to make sure that it tastes okay and is balanced. Or to just because you want to.

All these drinks will be when you make them for your Christmas Eve party. You can add more or less alcohol to make the strong AF cocktail or not, depending on your vibe and mood for the day! Let us know in the comments below what drinks you made and what you thought!
