5 Reasons I’m Excited To Start At Temple
As August draws nearer, so does the beginning of my freshman year at Temple University. There is so much to look forward to. From meeting tons of new people to having all new experiences, these are the 5 reasons I’m excited to start at Temple!
1. Cheering on the Temple Owls!
I’m an International student, and in my country, we don’t have big games where everyone cheers on their home team. So, I’m incredibly excited to immerse myself in school spirit! I’ve already memorized the Temple Fight Song, and I’m ready to scream at the top of my lungs.
2. Living with girls that are close to my age.
I don’t have siblings, so I’m looking forward to the dorm experience. Sharing a room with my amazing roommates, walking to class together, and exchanging makeup and fashion tips will be so fun. It feels like I’m finally getting the sisters I’ve always wanted.
3. Managing my own time.
I can’t wait to be able to chose when I want to go to class (or not), when I’ll study, when to just Netflix and chill, when to sleep or when to pull an all nighter. No one telling me it’s time to turn off the lights sounds like heaven.
4. Exploring Philly!
I’ve only been to Philadelphia once, and I got to see very little of it (I spent most of the time at Orientation). But now that Center City will be just a subway ride away, I intend to explore every corner of it. This city will be my home for the next four years, and when my friends come visit, I want to know it like the back of my hand.
5. Diving into what I love!
Yes, I am dying to get started on my classes, join clubs, and who knows, maybe even rush next year. We all chose Temple and know the amazing opportunities we’ll have as a TU student. I plan on taking full advantage of each and every one of them!
