There is nothing worse than having your apartment or dorm smell like stale beer; I think that’s something we can all agree on. Whenever anybody throws a party, it’s almost guaranteed someone is going to spill. Here are a few tips for getting the stale beer smell out of your apartment.
The most typical tips for getting rid of the beer smell is as follows: act fast, move the affected region outside (if possible), blot the section soaked in beer, use warm water and white vinegar or baking soda. If you do not have carpet shampoo, detergent should do the trick. To get the smell of beer out of your couch and carpet, check out these quick tips below.
You are going to want to mix one part white vinegar with six parts warm water. You’re going to pour the solution over the affected spot where beer was spilled. Make sure the upholstery and cushioning affected by the stale beer is covered by the mixture. Allow six to eight hours of sit time before getting the dry white vinegar solution out.
Use warm plain water or mix one tablespoon of liquid hand dish-washing detergent and one tablespoon of white vinegar with two cups of warm water. Sponge the stain with plain water or the detergent/vinegar solution. Apply a little bit at a time, blotting frequently with a dry cloth until the stain disappears.
