10 Spring Break Trip Ideas For 2019
It’s the beginning of the Spring semester, which means spring break 2019 is only a few months away! If you’re like me and want to get out of dodge, here are ten spring break ideas to consider!
1. Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Sit next to the beach and relax! Cape Cod is a chill option for a traveler who doesn’t want to party too much. Dig your feet into the sand and enjoy the nice weather! The view is straight out of a Nicholas Sparks novel. Rent a house next to the beach and you won’t have to travel farther than your doorstep while you’re on vacation.
2. Chicago, Illinois
I recommend my home for those who don’t mind the cold. If you’re looking for a vacation in paradise DO NOT COME HERE. But if you love sweater weather, come to the windy city and see the sites! The blend of old and new architecture makes my city unique. Visit the museum during the day and Stop into a jazz club after dark! Whatever you decide to do, you’ll be sure to have a good time.
3. Los Angeles, California
Soak up the sun and spend your money where celebrities do their shopping on Rodeo Drive! Or hit the beach and get that tan winter has taken from you. A seaside bike ride is a fun activity to do with your travel mate! Take a drive to Universal Studios and spend a day in Hogsmeade Village at the Harry Potter World attraction. L.A has tons of spring break attractions to choose from.
4. Daytona Beach, Florida
Named the spring break capital of the U.S, Daytona is the perfect place to go if you’re ready to party. Enjoy the hot weather and days on the beach this spring break! If half-naked students aren’t your thing, then you should probably stay home.
5. Washington D.C
Visit our nation’s capital this spring break! Numerous museums and monuments to our nation’s greatest heroes line the mall and everyone who visits can’t help but feel the history. Scowl at the White House if that’s your thing, our check out Lincoln’s memorial!
6. Portland Oregon
Check out Portland this spring break! The land of start-ups and first-rate public transit is worth seeing. Business is thriving and the nightlife is great!
7. Napa Valley, California
Go with your girls to Napa Valley for a classy spring break! Go to wine tasting, take a bike tour, or see the many different wineries in the area.
8. Honolulu, Hawaii
Experience a taste of Polynesian culture with a trip to Honolulu. You can island hop, surf, and just enjoy the calm of the island state while you’re there. Make all your friends jealous with killer Instagram pictures of the stunning scenery!
9. Obidos, Portugal
Have you ever wanted to walk on the walls of King’s Landing? Now you can! The castle of Obidos is a bit worn down, but castle visitors can walk the walls and envision themselves Medieval knights guarding the gates of the city. Or if you’d rather be a wuss and stay on the ground, enjoy the many food carts and shops of the ancient city.
10. London, England
Oh, London Town! What a beautiful and historic city it is. Go to the Tower of London and imagine Anne Boleyn losing her head, or Buckingham Palace and watch the procession of the redcoats. Just don’t scream “The redcoats are coming!” Because they don’t think it’s as funny as you do. Westminister Abbey is rich with history, and St. Paul’s Cathedral is a glorious sight to behold. But be careful where you go! Always make sure you’re staying safe in a foreign city.
