Halloween cocktails are a fundamental part of Halloween, if not more important than your own family’s wellbeing. The best cocktails can be easily turned into Molotov cocktails. Grab your blacklight and body paint, get the bowl of candy that has lots of black licorice to deter everyone from diving into it, and turn on the scary music. We’re going to look at some A+ drinks that a necromancer would die for, resurrect themselves, then die again for.
Blood Orange Mojito
The recipe:
- 3 cups of Blood Orange Italian Sparkling Soda
- 3 cups of light rum
- 3 cups of ice cubes
- 1 large bunch of mint leaves, no stems (about 40 leaves)
- 2 limes sliced very thin (one is for garnish)
Very Bloody Mary
The recipe:
- 4.5 cl Vodka
- 9 cl Tomato juice
- 1.5 cl Lemon juice
- 2 to 3 dashes of Worcestershire Sauce
- Tabasco
- Celery salt
- Pepper
- Pork blood (traditionally used in black pudding)
Septic Tank Espresso Martini
The recipe:
- 5 cl Vodka
- 1 cl Kahlúa
- Sugar syrup
- 1 short strong Espresso
- Star anise
Devil’s Margarita
The recipe:
- 1½ oz Blanco tequila
- 1 oz Fresh lime juice
- ¾ oz Simple syrup
- ½ oz Red wine
Corpse Reviver #2
The recipe:
- ¾ oz gin
- ¾ oz lemon juice
- ¾ oz Cointreau (curaçao)
- ¾ oz Kina Lillet, Amber Vermouth or Cocchi Americano
- 1 dash absinthe
Blood and Sand
The recipe:
- ¾ oz blended scotch
- ¾ oz blood orange juice
- ¾ oz sweet vermouth
- ¾ oz Cherry Heering
Vampiro
The recipe:
- cl tequila
- 7 cl tomato juice
- 3 cl fresh orange juice
- 1 cl fresh lime juice
- 1 teaspoon clear honey
- Half slice onion finely chopped
- Few slices of fresh chili peppers
- Few drops of Worcestershire Sauce
- Salt
Whiskey Sour
The recipe:
- 4.5 cl (3 parts) bourbon whiskey
- 3 cl (2 parts) fresh lemon juice
- 1.5 cl (1 part) Gomme syrup
- dash egg white (optional)
Transylvanian Țuică
The recipe:
- 8 cl Tuica
- 4 cl Apricot liqueur
- 2 cl Lemon juice
- 2 cl Tonka bean syrup
- 2 dash(es) Creole Bitters
Black Martini
The recipe:
- 2 ounces vodka
- 1 oz blue curaçao
- ½ ounce black raspberry liqueur
- Garnish: lemon twist
- Food coloring
Halloween Old-Fashioned
The recipe:
- 2 ounces Bourbon
- 10-12 dashes Dark Chocolate Bitters
- 2 strips of orange peel
- A squeeze of fresh orange juice
- 1 Amarena cherry or Luxardo cherry, plus more for garnish
- 1 teaspoon cherry syrup (from cherries)
- ½ ounce simple syrup, optional
- large ice cube

Dark ‘n’ Stormy
The recipe:
- 6 cl dark rum
- 10 cl ginger beer
Pitch Red Manhattan
The recipe:
- 5 cl Rye Whiskey
- 2 cl Red Vermouth
- 1 dash Angostura Bitters
- Red food coloring
Flaming Dragon’s Blood
The recipe:
- 1 ¾ jigger of Bacardi Superior rum 2 fl oz
- 1 jigger thyme and raspberry syrup 1.5 fl oz
- ½ jigger freshly squeezed lemon juice ¾ fl oz
- 2 ice cubes
- ⅛ of a tsp of white luster dust or red luster dust (optional)
- 2 tsp Bacardi rum 151
Penicillin (MRSA)
The recipe:
- 2 oz Blended scotch
- 3⁄4 oz Fresh lemon juice
- 3⁄4 oz Honey-ginger syrup
- 1⁄4 oz Islay single-malt scotch
- Dry ice
Vampire Cynar Negroni
The recipe:
- Cynar
- Dry Rye Reposado Gin
- Strawberry Infused Campari
- Dry Ice
- Rosemary Sprig
Bloody Pomegranate Cosmos
The recipe:
- ¾ cup plus 2 tablespoons pomegranate juice SAVE $
- ¾ cup vodka
- 1/3 cup orange-flavored liqueur
- 1/3 cup fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons simple syrup
- 1 cup small ice cubes or shaved ice
- ¼ cup pomegranate seeds, if desired
Halloween Sidecar
The recipe:
- 2 ounces bourbon
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1 oz simple syrup
- 1-2 shakes Old Fashion Bitters
Pumpkin Moscow Mule
The recipe:
- 2 oz Pinnacle Pumpkin Pie Vodka
- 3/4 oz ginger liquor
- Ginger beer for topping
- Fresh mint and star anise for garnish
Halloween Boulevardier
The recipe:
- 1 part Bourbon or Rye Whiskey
- 1 part Campari
- 1 part Sweet Red Vermouth
Death in the Afternoon
The recipe:
- 1 oz absinthe
- 5 oz chilled champagne
Irish Car Bomb
The recipe:
- 1/2 oz whiskey
- 1/2 oz Irish cream liqueur
- 1/2 pint stout
- The whiskey is floated on top of the Irish cream in a shot glass, and the shot glass is then dropped into the stout (it will curdle if you do not drink it in a timely manner)
Black Velvet
The recipe:
- 1 part stout
- 1 part champagne
Spooky White Russian
The recipe:
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 oz Kahlúa
- 3-4 oz cereal milk
- Cereal sugar, for rim
The Witch’s Heart
The recipe:
- 1 jigger apple brandy or apple vodka chilled
- 1 tsp grenadine
- 2 jiggers Homemade Blackberry Shimmery Liqueur
- Powdered dry ice optional
- Martini glass to serve
Ghostly Long Island Iced Tea
The recipe:
- 1 ½ cups Coke
- ¼ cup simple syrup
- 3 small packages lemon jello
- ¼ cup vodka
- ¼ cup gin
- ¼ cup rum
- ¼ cup tequila
- ¼ cup Triple Sec
- 2 cans of coconut milk, chilled overnight
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 food-safe black marker
Monster Mash Margarita
The recipe:
- 2 oz Silver Tequila
- 4 oz Blood Orange Juice
- Simple Syrup- to taste
- 1 oz Lime Juice
- Ice
- fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish
- slices of blood orange and lime for garnish
- gummy eyeball candy skewered on stir sticks
Zombie
The recipe:
- 1 1/2 oz Puerto Rican golden rum
- 1 1/2 oz Jamaican rum
- 1 oz demerara 151 rum
- 1/2 oz Donn’s Mix (2:1 mix of grapefruit juice & cinnamon syrup)
- 1/2 oz velvet falernum
- 3/4 oz lime juice
- 1/4 oz grenadine
- 2 dashes absinthe
- 1 dash angostura bitters
Godfather (Horse Head)
The recipe:
- 3.5 cl Scotch
- 3.5 cl Amaretto
- garnish with something that looks like a bloody severed horse head
Screwdriver
The recipe:
- 4 Tbsp corn syrup
- Black food coloring
- 4 oz grenadine
- 8 oz orange juice
- 4 oz vodka
