Whole Foods is by far my favorite grocery store. Their produce section is always on point and they help educate people about the importance of healthy eating through not only the products that they sell but through their programs and health groups. Another thing I love most about the grocery chain is the abundance of vegan products that they sell. Even if you’re not a plant-based eater, there are plenty of options that I’m sure you will enjoy. They have a wide variety of dairy-free desserts, cheeses, meats, cookies, the options are endless! And I got you covered with a list full of some of their best vegan products yet.
This non-dairy cream cheese spread is one of the best out there. Seriously. It’s just as smooth as a real cream cheese spread is, with that subtle tangy yet sweet flavor you love to have on your bagel. The great thing about this brand is how many cream cheese flavors they sell. There’s strawberry, plain, jalapeño, everything, and chive. These spreads can also be used in desserts and for dips. The next time you’re at Whole Foods, consider picking up one of these and trying it out for yourself.
Beyond Meat is a company that sells plant-based meat substitutes. So, not only do they sell burgers, but meats like sausage, ground beef, and meatballs. If you’re one of those people that craves juicy burgers every now and then, I highly suggest that you try this product. I’ve tried it myself with all the right burger toppings and could hardly tell the difference. It looks and cooks like a real burger. It’s also free of GMOs, soy, and gluten. Find it by the meat aisle at Whole Foods, most likely sitting in the plant-based section or by the kosher meats.
Emmy’s is a homegrown, family-oriented company that sells a whole bunch of healthy snack options. They have organic cookies and chocolate-covered coconut cookie bites. Their organic cookie flavors are dark cacao, lemon ginger, vanilla bean, matcha, peanut butter, and of course chocolate chip. Not only are they vegan, but organic and gluten-free. The size of the cookies themselves is perfect for a midday snack while at work or right before the gym.
Calling all coffee drinkers. This dairy-free half & half is free of saturated fats and cholesterol, instead, Ripple replaced those two things with essential omega-6s and omega-3s from pure plant sources. You can use this for your coffee or even for your soups and desserts. There are two flavors, original and vanilla. If you’re curious as to what is inside, it is made up of pea protein, sunflower oil, algal oil, vitamin A and calcium. They also have a bunch of other products to pick and choose from and fortunately, Whole Foods sells a lot of them. Their plant-based chocolate almond milk tastes like heaven. It’s perfect for smoothies and cereal.
This brand has a bunch of great vegan products, but their dairy-free cheese slices are some of their best. Not only do they taste just like real cheese, but they also melt and feel like the real thing. I picked up the cheddar cheese slices to try with the Beyond Meat burger and I was amazed by how creamy and delicious tasting the cheese was by itself. And cheddar isn’t the only flavor that they have. They also have smoked gouda, American, pepper jack, provolone, garden herb, mozzarella, and medium cheddar.
