There are a lot of skin care products for every kind of problem and it can be a bit overwhelming. This list is a starter guide to simple skin care products that can work for everyone.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is great for multiple reasons. It is a cleanser, makeup remover, and refreshes skin. It captures oil and cleans without any harsh scrubbing. The best part about it is that it does not leave your face feeling dry and can be used alone. You can confidently remove makeup without ruining your skin. Its multipurpose function makes it an even better simple skin care product, for it can be used as a face cleanser or makeup brush cleanser.
If you need something stronger, try the EcoTools Deep Cleansing Brush. It is a simple tool in which you add a facial cleanser, like the ones below, and scrub your face to exfoliate and remove dull skin. This particular one is for sensitive skin, so I suggest starting here so that you do not damage your skin. There is the e.l.f. Cleansing Duo Face Brush that has a handle for easier exfoliating. There are also vibrating ones, which can get a bit pricey, but it is not necessary for simple exfoliation.
If you are into skin care already, you probably heard about the Korean skin care trend. Their products are not harsh and feel amazing. Nature Republic’s Rose Foam Cleanser is so smooth but cleans like a strong exfoliator. This is ideal for oily skin, but it is great for all skin types. It is self moisturizing, soothing, and will not leave your face dry. There are other scents, like shea butter and mango, if rose isn’t your thing.
Neutrogena Naturals has a successful line of skin care products. Their Purifying Facial Cleanser is my favorite. Like above, it is very smooth but cleans the skin very well with no extra effort. This is also scent-free, for anyone that prefers that. It is free of harsh chemicals and has nutrients that will keep your skin healthy and free of damage. This skin care product cleans so well and still does not dry out the skin. Definitely use a moisturizer below, though, especially if you use this to wash off makeup.
This line of face masks by Freeman Beauty is so versatile. Before I discovered this product, I did not realize how effective a peel-off clay mask would be. This mask always leaves a toned face, as it helps complexion. It is for all skin types, but if you want a more targeted mask, they have plenty of others. The masks are all multipurpose and do not pull the skin too roughly, so no worries about any damage. They have regular clay, cream, or mud masks, as well as face scrubs.
But if you are looking for something stronger, the Elizavecca Hell-Pore Mask is for you. I know some skin care aficionados are probably cringing, but this product has worked for me. It is definitely not for everyone, especially if you have sensitive skin. This is great for those with a lot of build-ups, though. It is also great for those that have a lot of blackheads or use makeup constantly. It is a rough facemask, so make sure to use it on certain areas first, instead of all over your face the first use, and use sparingly. This is not meant to be a daily mask, but one you use after some time.
This Hydro Boost line by Neutrogena is another simple skin care product that goes a long way. While it is used as a cleanser than a lotion, it leaves your face so smooth that you would not even need to use something after. This Gentle Cleansing Lotion can be used as a soothing after deep cleanse rinse or as a makeup remover. Multipurpose products that actually work are hard to come by, so trust that this sensitive skin cleansing lotion works. It is fragrance-free and leaves your face smooth with no stripping of the skin.
Clean & Clear are controversial. They are either a love or hate brand, but this Dual Action Moisturizer works wonders. It is oil-free and targets acne. It soothes dry skin and leaves a smooth, cooling effect. It is best to use it frequently, as it is an acne-fighting moisturizer. It works best after a simple wash or deep facial cleanse. Use just enough to cover your face, as a little goes a long way.
Some like to moisturize with lotions, but this oil works smoothly. All The Feels Facial Oil by e.l.f. is lightweight and not at all greasy. It is hydrating and loaded with vitamins to keep your skin healthy. It is easy to overapply, so make sure you slowly work it around your face. E.l.f. encourages to apply by tapping around the face so that it can absorb better and I found that it works for me. Your skin will not feel dry or oily with this nourishing oil.
Lastly, sunscreen is important. There is no better skin protection than that which is meant to protect. Neutrogena’s Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen is my favorite because it is not greasy, oil-free, and water-resistant. It is perfect for those with sensitive skin and for anyone who likes easy application. It is useful for the whole body and is fast absorbing. Neutrogena has a range of sunscreen, so make sure you pick the best for you.
