Anyone will tell you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. When you are constantly on the go, its hard to find time for the most crucial meal. There are ways, however, to get your much-needed morning boost. With a little bit a planning and some innovation, you can have a hearty breakfast in minutes. Here are some simple breakfast ideas to start your day!
Get all of your nutrients with the foods of your choice in every combination you can think of. Pair oatmeal with your blueberries and bananas or mix your yogurt with a mixed berries.
Cut your apples accordingly and decorate any way you like. Sprinkle peanut butter or cinnamon and your breakfast is ready to eat!
Always the reliable go-to. Grab your favorite homemade or wheat bread and lather it up with your favorite flavor of jam. You can toast it or leave it as is, and top it off with blackberry or apricot preserve. So easy and so yummy.
The next time you toast your bread, go for the peanut butter. For many of us, we cannot deny the delicious combo of peanut butter and banana! Throw on a couple blueberries or chocolate chips.
If you are tired of grabbing a banana and running out the door, take an extra couple of minutes and spice it up a bit. Spread on some peanut butter or jam and add some fruit.
If you haven’t had grilled peaches yet, I urge you to run to your local farmer’s market immediately! Grill some peaches in a little bit of butter and sugar, place them on top of some toast or in a bowl of yogurt. You won’t be sorry.
This may take some pre-planning compared to other simple breakfast ideas, but in the morning, you will be so glad you did it. Pour some oats into a Tupperware container, mixing in some milk, almond milk or yogurt. Add some jam of your choosing, fruit, almonds, whatever you feel like! In the morning, you will have a perfect breakfast that you created.
Eggo waffles don’t only go with syrup. The next time your waffle pops out of the toaster, make a little peanut butter and jelly sandwich, or make a peanut butter and banana “pizza.”
This breakfast is as easy as one, two, three. Throw together some vanilla or honey yogurt and add an array of fruit, some jam and a little granola and it is ready to eat.
If you are an avocado lover, you may have tried this one before. All you need to do is mash it into your toast with a fork and season it according to your liking. Add a little salt and pepper, hot sauce, eggs or red pepper flakes. The possibilities are endless and very simple.
If you want a no-fuss breakfast, just throw your favorite fruits into a bowl. Grapes, kiwi, bananas, mangos, whatever your heart desires. For a little extra, just put a dollop of yogurt right on top.
All you need to do is look in your fridge and you have ingredients to make a smoothie. The combinations are limitless and you can plan according to your day. Need energy? Make a banana smoothie. Looking for something sweet? Create the ultimate berry blast smoothie. The choice is yours!
