10 Signs You’re Ready To Drop Everything And Book A Getaway

Here are 10 signs you need to book a getaway. If you can relate, open a tab and search “cheap flights” to make that dream getaway come to fruition.

1. You feel stuck.

Your week consists of work Monday through Friday, going out on Friday and Saturday and sleeping in on Sunday. It’s no surprise you feel like you need to book a getaway.

2. The wanderlust is real.

You dream of your next getaway constantly, and all you can talk about is how you want to travel. Most days, you just want to leave everything behind and travel for a year.

3. You’re sleep deprived.

Not getting enough sleep is unhealthy physically and mentally. Going to bed tired and waking up even more tired is a sign that you’re depriving yourself of good sleep.

4. You’re making more mistakes.

Whether it’s errors in reports or E-mails, if you find you’re making more mistakes than usual, it could be a sign you need to reboot your mental state.

5. Travel websites make up your “Favorites” tab.

You are consistently looking for travel deals, and you swear you will buy one as soon as you see a good deal. You’re on Google Flights looking for cheap flights to your next destination, and you already have a list of places you want to travel to next.

6. You haven’t even glanced at your bucket list in ages.

If you have a great bucket list, but yours sits in the corner collecting dust while you’re stuck at the office 60 hours a week, it might be time for you to read through it again. The purpose of the list is to do things with your life that you’ve always imagined you’d do.

7. You daydream about anything but work.

When you find yourself daydreaming at work more and more about dream getaway rather than focusing on your goals, company’s goals and your well-being, it’s time to book a getaway.

8. You lack motivation for everyday tasks.

Do you stare at your to-do and feel overwhelmed with absolutely no motivation to follow through on the tasks at hand? If you start to dread activities that you once enjoyed, whether, at work or home, it may be a sign that you’re burned out.

9. Your entire life revolves around work.

Sometimes we wrap our identity so much into our work that we forget who we really are. If you’re noticing this is happening to you, start planning to book a getaway to find yourself again!

10. Stop making excuses and start planning your getaway.

It’s time to shake up the routine! Plan a long weekend getaway or even an entire week vacation. You’ll return refreshed and ready to try something new to break up that routine (perhaps planning your next trip!).

Not only will you be able to enjoy the moments spent away from your regular daily responsibilities, you’ll also be doing your mind and body some serious good. Go on, just go book the dream getaway!
