One of the signs that you’re in an emotionally abusive relationship is when your partner is constantly telling you that you’re wrong, whether it’s the truth or not. They’ll accuse you of being wrong, no matter what, making it one of the signs of emotional abuse.
Another sign that you’re in an emotionally abusive relationship is when your partner constantly has to remind you of your failures or mistakes, whether it’s in your personal life or in the relationship. They may make you feel like you’re stupid, crazy, or that your feelings are invalid. They may even ask “what’s wrong with you?”

The things you loved to do before, like reading or writing, may not be of interest anymore. Your focus is solely on your partner 24/7. If this is the case, you may be in a toxic relationship.

When your partner claims that they have left you, and comes back to apologize and claim they will do better, but then act the same way they always have been acting, then you are in an emotionally abusive relationship. Your partner knows that they have you wrapped around their finger, so they can do whatever they please. Even if it means leaving you hanging, wondering what their next move is. This is one of the big signs of emotional abuse.
