Are you an introvert? Do you find yourself more comfortable being alone? Do you love a crowd? Does being around people give you a great amount of anxiety? Do you love small talk with others? Well, either way, there is no wrong answer. Extrovert or introvert, both awesome, it’s just your preference. The article below is more so on the introvert side. Read below to find out more about introverts!
You find yourself getting pleasure from being to your self rather than going out and being around other humans, this may be the first sign that you’re an introvert.
When it gets down to it, and you are around others you do not get this gushing feeling of excitement through your veins to connect with the people around you, the whole time it could like you are faking it.
While having an open discussion in class and the teacher asks for volunteers to speak on it, or even read where she’d left off, you find any reason to make yourself camouflage with things around to not be as noticeable. You would really rather not speak in front of anyone at all.
When you see people coming toward your way to have a conversation, you make it seem as if you are busy. You put your head in a book, in your phone, or even try to look asleep just to not be bothered. But even if those things does not work, you try to be as short with them as possible to skip the small talk and be left alone.
You love to observe everything around you, mainly because you do not like to converse with people so this takes the place of that; watching others and observe their actions is how you really get to know a person. Actions speaks louder than words right?
You’ve every been told you’re a great listener? Could this maybe be a result of you not talking back? It makes it seem as if you’re listening just because you do not want to have a full blown out conversation with the other person, so you just sit and listen, hoping that is all when they are finished.
Meeting new people does not excite you because what? YOU ARE NOT A PEOPLE PERSON. Ha! You would much rather be to your self or around the people that know you best. Starting over is not your thing.
Does it feel like you talk to yourself everyday? Does it feel like your inner monologue is constantly going? Sometimes you find yourself just talking and not even realize it (in the inside of course) this could also be a sign of the discussion at hand-being an introvert.
This could go either way. You may not mind going out to a party, being around a crowd but at some point you’re ready to get back to the normal routine. Or you may be the one to not like crowds at all and not even thing to go out.
You may find yourself day dreaming, even in a middle of “small talk” and go right back into your zone, forgetting everyone around you. Others may find it rude, but you just don’t realize you’re in a daze and block whatever out around you.
