Finding that perfect pair of shoes can feel like a miracle. You’ll wear them everywhere so they are totally worth spending your entire paycheque on. However, what if your new pair of shoes clench your toes together or rub your ankles the wrong way. Don’t ditch them because of a few blisters, some shoes are worth the little bit of pain. Basically, I’m suggesting you need to suck it up princess, you’ve got this, maybe just pack a few extra bandaids with you in the morning. I’m not saying you’ll need them, but no one will be able to see those tope colored lifesavers so maybe wear a few to protect your toes so that you can keep your style at an eleven.
Stilettos should be your new go-to power shoes. Not only will these killer heels make you that half an inch taller than your co-worker nemesis, but they also make your legs look long and can add some much need glamour into your day. Downside? They’re impossible to walk in, your toes will feel like they’re squished into a sardine can and you’ll end the day with at least three blisters. The choice is up to you. Be comfortable in flats, and look just as flat or look fantastic in your stilettos and deal with a couple of blisters. That’s why they sell bandaids in the first place. Most of the day you’re sitting at a desk anyways so really why does it matter if you can’t walk in those heels? My advice would be to pull a Melanie Griffith in Working Girl, wear runners to the office, change into your stilettos, and back into the runners on your way home. This will save your feet from some of the trauma they’re going to go through in the heels, but everyone at the office will see your amazing outfit.

Let me apologize to your ankles in advance, because I’m about to recommend you rock ankle boots hard this year, which means you will also probably want to pick up a pack of bandaids while you’re out. They don’t call them ankle boots because they go up to your ankles, they named these beautiful monstrosities because of how much they rub your ankles. Not only will these boots rub against your gentle skin with every step you take they will also squish your toes together. Why wear them? Because they look great with pants, shirts and shorts. Yes, they will hurt your ankles, but they’ll make your legs look impressively long and keep your style game on point. You can avoid some of the ankle pain by wearing socks, this might not totally fix the problem but it’s a start.

Take a step down off of your heels for a minute to appreciate some flats that will still make you look like the boss babe I know you are. Loafers aren’t just for your grandpa anymore, you can rock these classy shoes every day of the week and look like a sexy CEO who knows three inches don’t make the difference. Yes, these shoes will save your feet from having to strut around in heels everywhere, but they do come with some consequences. The back of your feet will feel like a leather belt slapped it repeatedly throughout the day, and again your toes will be squished into the front of the shoe. These bad boys come in all different shades of colors and styles so you can mix and match with your blisters.
Wait did you hear that? A leaf just fell from a tree… That means it’s time to tuck your skinny jeans into a fun pair of knee-high boots and grab your pumpkin spice lates because fall is here and so are the boots! Knee-high boots are fun to wear on a night out on the town with your best girlfriends. They will look great with boots, shorts and leggings, they’ll make your legs look long and fabulous while also giving you an inch more of confidence. These boots will make you feel fierce as all hell while giving you fierce leg pain and warning to those who wear these, you may fall down once or twice. That’s right these stylish boots come with a cost and it looks like a medical bill for how tall those heels are. I still totally think knee-high boots are worth the little bit of pain they cause though, I mean how can something be so bad, but also look so good on you? If the boots make you look tough then you can be tough enough to deal with the pain.
Summer weddings may be over, so you may think you can say goodbye to those wedged sandals that make you feel like you’re walking on platform heels when really they’re just sandals. Too bad it isn’t quite time to say goodbye to them though, because wedged sandals are making a warm fall comeback. That’s right you can now wear these ridiculous shoes in the fall and not look out of place. Or at least so says me, and I’m the one writing this article, so you should really take my advice. Wedged sandals will make you look fun and warm, but will also shove your toes together and rub you the wrong way. Don’t despair though, because these shoes might be hellish to wear, they still look so damn cute with your fall themed wedding invitations and in years to come when you look back on the photos, you won’t remember the pain you’ll just know you looked great. Toes grow back right?
