6 Sangria Recipes You’ll Want To Sip On ASAP

Summer is just around the corner, and what better way to cheers to that than with a glass (or pitcher) of sangria? Sangria is an amazing go-to drink because of the many ways you can spice it up to make it taste different each and every time. Here are six of the best recipes you definitely will want to try out!

1. Rosé Sangria

Okay, hold up, a rosé sangria? Usually, when making a traditional sangria, you’d pick a red or white wine as the base for your sangria, right? Well, why not change things up a bit and elevate your mix with a rosé. Mix your rosé up with some Cointreau, brandy, and some simple syrup for sweetness. You can make it extra pink with some grapefruit juice and a whole lot of fresh raspberries, and grapefruit slices. Be sure to let your pitcher chill in the fridge for at least an hour before serving, and then add your soda water when you pour your glass.

2. Peach Strawberry White Sangria

This white sangria only requires six ingredients, so if you’re looking for a quick fix – this is the recipe is meant for you! Slice up some peaches and strawberries before tossing them into your pitcher with a few leaves of mint and a handful of raspberries. Then, pour in your favorite bottle of white wine – either dry or sweet depending on your taste – with a half-cup of Peach Schnapps. Add one cup of Sprite or soda water before mixing all of the ingredients together. If you can, let this mix chill for at least an hour or two before serving.

3. Traditional Red Sangria

Sometimes sticking with a classic recipe is the way to go. We all love it for a reason! Slice up an orange and apple, then toss them into your pitcher first, crushing them down a bit with a wooden spoon. Then add some brown sugar or simple syrup, orange juice, and Brandy or Rum (put in as much as you like of each, it is completely up to you!) Pour in your favorite bottle of dry red wine (like a dry Tempranillo), and mix all of the ingredients together with your wooden spoon. Add some ice, and serve as it is.

4. Iced Tea Berry Sangria

This recipe combines two summer favorites into one drink: sangria, and sweetened iced tea. If you don’t brew your own sweetened iced tea, store-bought would act as a fine replacement (but be aware that this could make your sangria a lot sweeter.) In a large pitcher, pour in two-liters of your preferred iced tea, one bottle of your favorite red wine, a half-cup of Brandy and two cups of berry juice. Any berry juice would work, just depends on your preference. Stir it all together. Add some freshly cut strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries before serving.

5. Pineapple Sangria

Go with this sangria recipe if you are looking for something a little tropical! Slice up some pineapple wedges for garnish, and to put into your pitcher. You could add in some strawberries to give your sangria a little more dimension with its flavor. Pour in your favorite bottle of dry white wine, one bottle of ginger beer, three cups of pineapple juice, a half cup of rum and a quarter cup of lemon juice. Stir in all of the ingredients, and give it a taste to see what you want to add more of. Let your sangria chill in the fridge for at least an hour prior to serving. Instead of mint for garnish, put in a basil sprig in your cup!

6. Frozen Watermelon Rosé Sangria Slushie

This sangria recipe is so fun, that it is perfect to bust out when you’re having your girls over for drinks! You will need to serve this recipe right away, so plan accordingly. In a blender, pour in a bottle of rosé, a half cup of tequila, some lime juice, and honey, two cups of frozen watermelon chunks, and a cup and a half of frozen raspberries. Pulse the mixture until you’ve reached the consistency you want, and add in ice if necessary. Pour into chilled glasses, and garnish with some mint, fresh raspberries or a watermelon wedge.
