A big part of romantic relationships is keeping up that excitement and spontaneity, and taking trips to romantic places with your S.O. is a great way to contribute to that excitement. The best part is getting to see your partner light up as you gaze at the stores or have dinner at sunset. Whatever the place, the whole point is for the two of you to become even closer and to grow that already burning spark.
There are so many options when it comes to romantic places you should see with your partner, but I have narrowed it down to ten romantic places you NEED to go see with your S.O. as they are all unique in their own way. All ten of these romantic places hold so much beauty that you and your partner won’t be able to help just staring in awe. So, without further ado, let us get this train moving.
I am not one to rough it out in the wild, however, I do love to be in nature in a safe and comfortable setting. If you agree with me on this one, then Moonlight Glamping is where the perfect romantic place for you and your S.O. to go.
Moonlight Glamping is located in Ontario, Oregon. On their site, they say they are a pop-up hotel, meaning they have tipi tents that are fully furnished for you to stay in so that you can really enjoy the outdoors while staying safe and comfy in your own tent room. They offer room service as well and you don’t have to do any dishes.
Not only do you get to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, but Moonlight Glamping is nearby many other activities to participate in like zip-lining, river tubing, and the company offers personal yoga classes in your own tent!
The one thing that makes Moonlight Glamping more unique than most of the other romantic places is that they do not have a set location. You will book a campsite in Elora and the company will set the whole thing up for you so you do not have to worry about the hassle.
Here is a link to their website if you are interested.
Get your passport ready because there are no romantic places like this one! If you are not familiar with them, cenotes are surface connections to subterranean bodies of water. Some of them are completely underground where you have to walk down a very narrow staircase dug out of the ground to get to them. There are over 6,000 cenotes in the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico.
The Suytun Cenote is located five miles east of Valladolid, Mexico. When you enter, there is a narrow stone walkway that stretches out into a calm and beautiful body of water. The walls of the cenote are very high, but the pool itself is relatively shallow. There is one hole in the ceiling that has given trees and other greenery an entrance to this underground lair.
Make sure you know the rules about swimming in any of the cenotes. Some of them may be too dangerous to swim in while others, you might be the danger. Many of the cenotes will require you to shower before swimming as some of the creams and other chemicals we use on our bodies could poison the water life.
Romantic places like this will definitely win you some points with your partner and this Suytun Cenote will take their breath away.
You might have heard people say that there is nothing is more romantic than camping out under the stars, but have you ever camped out under the Northern Lights? The glass igloos of Finnland blow some of the other romantic places out of the water as you get to sleep out on the ice at Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort and watch the Northern Lights dance above in the sky. Hold your partner close, not because you will be cold, but because you will be falling more and more in love with them.
The Northern Lights aren’t the only attraction to this chilly resort. You can also ride snowmobiles, go ice fishing, go sledding with huskies, and see reindeer. And that is just the winter activities. Make sure you save up for this trip because it will cost a pretty penny to rent out one of these igloos. But the beautiful sky and your beautiful partner will all be worth it!
Romantic places must have a touch of magic to them and that is just what Amalfi, Italy has. Stay at the Hotel Santa Caterina for the most amazing views of the coast. The town is surrounded by mountains the buildings stairstep down to the cliffs that spread out over the sea. Get lost through the winding streets while you admire the amazing and unique architecture.
This town is a historic one that holds that touch of magic as the town is so intertwined with the divine beauty of nature. You can find yourself wandering through the terrace gardens that are nestled in the cliffs. You will see all kinds of flowers and plants blooming there.
The best part of romantic places like this is waking up every morning of your trip and seeing the beauty of another town. Have brunch with your S.O. on the balcony that overlooks the town and the sea letting it all sink in as you enjoy mimosas with your partner.
Do you and your S.O. need some calmness in your life? Well, take a trip to romantic places where it is all about peace and quiet and calmness. Lavender By the Bay is a wonderful calming romantic place to visit as it is a massive lavender farm, and lavender is a great calming device.
Lavender By the Bay is located in Long Island, New York, and is family owned and operated. This lavender farm is so amazing that was ranked one of the top six most stunning lavender farms in the US.
The farm has over 80,000 lavender plants that stretch over 17 acres. While you are there, be careful of the bees that are enjoying the plants as much as you are. They won’t bother you as long as you don’t bother them. Make sure to check out the handcrafted lavender products in the farm shop before you depart.
Hopefully, you and your partner are fans of swimming as this next romantic place has some very cool swimming spots that you HAVE to check out! The Oyster River borders Black Creek and Campbell River. Campbell is also the town in which you will probably stay in.
The surrounding area is mostly farmlands, but the river is where all the attention is drawn. The downtown is small and super cute and the popular places to go are Salmon Point Resort and the Pacific Playgrounds. Relax in the sun and enjoy the interesting and unique landscape of this Canadian river.
Aren’t bridges such romantic places? There are so many movies where a bridge is the meeting place for lovers and it is so fitting as two sides are brought together by a connection. Find yourself on this amazing bridge in Houston, Texas. This bridge is apart of the Bayou Bend Collections and Gardens which is a museum of American decorative art held within the home of Houston Civic Leader and philanthropist Ima Hogg. This museum is open year-round and showcases some of America’s finest furnishings, ceramics, paintings, and silver. The house is surrounded by 14-acres of organically maintained gardens.
Are you just in love with love? Don’t love in boring places, love in the most unique romantic places out there like the Tunnel of Love in Klevan, Ukraine. The tunnel is made from trees growing into each other. A path was put in so that people from all over the world could walk through this amazing act of nature. Let your partner and yourself wander down this peaceful tunnel and fall in love with each other all over again as the trees shade you from the mean outside world.
Many of the romantic places I have talked about so far are within nature, but that is because I think nature holds so much romance in itself and we don’t appreciate it enough. That is why one of the best romantic places in nature is in a nature preserve. Zion National Park is located in Utah and it has so much to do and see.
Take your partner on a hike through the winding forest trails along the Virgin River, which leads to the Emerald pools. Take a swim in the crystal clear water or jump from the waterfalls from above. You might want to book a hotel room for a few nights as this National Park has so much to see, you couldn’t possibly get it all in within one day.
I saved the best for last out of all the romantic places I have found. Hitachi Seaside Park is about a two-hour drive from Tokyo, Japan. It is like walking into a Dr. Suess book with the colors and the kinds of flowers that bloom in the park. The best part is, different kinds of flowers bloom during all seasons, so you will be able to see something no matter the time of year.
The park is a patchwork quilt as there are different colored flowers in different sections. But don’t just stop to smell the flowers, go explore the amusement park that is within the Hitachi Park that showcases 25 different rides. If you and your partner are more active, they have courses for cycling and athletic fields. There are restaurants to try out as well so you won’t have to bring your own snacks.
