10 Restaurants To Try In Saratoga

Saratoga is a beautiful place. There are the horse races, the shopping and most importantly, the eating. On Broadway, the main street in Toga, you’ll find a plethora of restaurants that are delicious. Some offer quick bites while others are more sit down and relax style. Either way, you need to give each of these places a try.

Summer is Saratoga season. The warm weather brings in tourists who are looking to relax and wind down on the weekends. The Saratoga Race Course opens and the horses bring in even more traffic. And the night life is even more fun. Caroline Street is the place to be after hours on the weekends. If you are 21+, you definitely need to head down there after dinner.

Or maybe you are looking for a yummy brunch place that serves mimosas and French toast. From Mexican to Italian to sushi and more, whatever you’re looking for guarantee you can find it in Toga.

Next time you take a trip to the good ole Upstate New York area, give one of these 10 places a try. I’m almost positive you’ll be back for more and I’m even more positive you’ll want to try them all.

1. Druthers Brewing Company

A great place if you are looking for some cheesy Mac n cheese and a tall glass of beer! It has three different locations in NY: Albany, Saratoga and Schenectady. They are known for their amazing Mac n cheeses’ like the Loaded Mac with bacon, smoked chicken, ranch and bbq sauce or their beer cheese dip thats served with warm and soft pretzels. You really can’t go wrong with their classic foods. The beer is also a must-have. From their Winter Warmer to their Harvest Apple, topping off your meal with a cold one is the perfect way to end the day.

2. Forno Bistro

Italian food is calling your name. Forno Bistro offers a tuscan-style menu. They want to give off a sense of hearty and home with all their dishes and with the atmosphere. Their source locally and use only the freshest ingredients to create their dishes. If you’re in the mood for some life changing fried rice balls that are plated on top of marina or a yummy, wood-fire, thin-crust pizza, Forno Bistro is definitely the place to go. They also have a large wine menu as well as delicious cocktails you won’t want to miss.

3. Cantina

After recently moving locations and being completely revamped, this Mexican-style restaurant will have you wanting tequila the second you walk through the door. OK, all jokes aside, Cantina has some bomb food. They have just about every type of dish you could want like burritos, quesadillas, tacos, enchiladas, they even have queso for an app and Mexican street corn! You really cannot go wrong with Cantina for dinner. They don’t just have margaritas either. They have an entire drink menu that includes wines, beer and even mezcal.

4. Hamlet & Ghost

If you are into a more fine food, this is a place for you. Their menu is small but that doesn’t mean the food isn’t out of this world. They definitely have an acquired taste and the prices are on the higher side but it’s a great place for dinner. The drink menu is a fan favorite because their cocktails are exquisite. The restaurant itself was a hardware store during Prohibition that was secretly a place to gamble. From their cider battered cheese curbs to their grilled prime ny strip, you’ll want to give this place a try.

5. Max Londons

Brunch, brunch, brunch! Max Londons does serve dinner as well as happy hour everyday from 3-6 but their brunch options are unique. They make a statement and bring in a large crowd, especially on Sunday mornings. They offer a crab meat omelet, Belgian waffles, arugula pizza and so much more.  If you are ready for a tasty brunch with your girlfriends, this is the place to go. You can even run next door to Mrs. Londons for a warm cup of coffee and a flaky croissant.

6. Comfort Kitchen

The name really says it all. Comfort Kitchen has comfort food. They are locally sourced from farms in the area so their food is really fresh. Like their tater tots that are homemade and melt into your mouth or their grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup that will have your homemade version never be the same. CK offers small plates and a quick bite to eat. They even have a beautiful outside seating area thats strung with lights during the night time. Oh and did I mention their homemade sweet potato chips? Trust me, you’ll crave CK every day.

8. Chianti Ristorante

Another Italian restaurant except this is different. Chianti is actually owned by the same people who own Forno Bistro, so the food is different.
