Remembering Dance Moms: Where are The Girls Now?

Dance Moms may have just recently ended, but the cast had changed very much since the show started back in 2011. When the show aired, it starred 6 young girls at their dance studio in Pennsylvania. It’s now been almost 8 years and I’m sure you’re probably wondering what those girls are up to now.

1. Nia Sioux

Nia was always sort of the runt of the litter, she was rarely on the top of the pyramid, and wasn’t always the shining star of the group. However, Nia has gone on to become an actress, singer, and is still dancing. She recently starred in a movie called Summer Dance. She was recently featured on Nylon Mag’s website, where she spoke about being the only black girl on DanceMoms.

She also has a boyfriend, and they are super cute together.

We always knew Nia would end up doing amazing things, she is Holly’s daughter after all!

2. Chloe Lukasiak

The adorable little Chloe melted hearts all around the world when DanceMoms first premiered. That adorable little blonde grew up to be an equally as beautiful 17 year old. Chloe is now a published author. She wrote the book “Girl on Pointe: Chloe’s Guide to Taking on the World”. She has also gone on to land acting roles in the films Center Stage: On Pointe, and Cowgirl’s Story. She is also very involved in her YouTube channel, and has 6 million followers on Instagram. She will occasionally post a dance related post, to let fans know that she is still a dancer. And if you were wondering, her and her mom Christi are still just as close!

The big question here is, does the little girl inside of her still dream of being a Rockette?

3. Brooke Hyland

The sassy, bratty teenager of the group on dance moms is now about to be turning 21. Feel old yet? I know I do. She has been living the typical college life, just with 3.2 million Instagram followers. This includes posting drunk Instagram stories, making out with her boyfriend and being in a sorority.

4. Paige Hyland

Paige, similar to her big sister, is living a pretty normal life as a high schooler. She attends football games, has a boyfriend, and also has 3 million followers on Instagram. She’s still friends with Chloe, and posts pictures with her often. She’s traded dancing for modeling, which was always pretty expected, I mean, look at her.

5. Mackenzie Ziegler

With 11 million followers on Instagram, it’s safe to say that Kenzie is doing pretty well for herself, especially for a 14 year old. She may have been the baby of the group on dance moms, but that says nothing about the amount of fame and success she has had since the show. She’s still producing albums and music videos, has a Youtube channel, and has also acted on a few disney channel shows. As if that isn’t enough, she’s also a published author. She wrote the book “Kenzie’s Rules For Life” because, you know, 14 year olds are full of wisdom. She is also probably the most publicly involved in dance out of all of the girls. She’s often seen in viral hip hop videos, and she’s currently on Dancing With The Stars Juniors on abc.

Busy is an understatement for this 14 year old. She’s probably laughing in the faces of all of the people who said she’d live in her sister’s shadow!

6. Maddie Ziegler

Of course, last but not least, there’s Maddie. Maddie Ziegler is pretty much a household name at this point, and if you don’t know who she is, there’s a chance that you live in a box. Maddie has gone on to be an actress, starring in films such as Leap! which is now on Netflix, and The Book of Henry.  Maddie is still working with Sia and is in all of her music videos. Maddie is also a published author. She wrote a book called “The Maddie Diaries”. She was also previously a judge on So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation. She is also a pretty massive Youtuber and is often spotted hanging out with other popular Youtubers, as well as celebrities such as Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things.

Abby must have gotten something right, because as she predicted (and never stopped talking about), Maddie has definitely become a huge star.
