6 Reasons Why You’re Breaking Out And How To Stop It

Are you pimple-prone? Yeah, I can relate! There are many possibilities as to why you may be breaking out depending where you break out and what kind of break out you’re having.

Hopefully, these little tips as to why you may be breaking out will get to the bottom of things and help you to avoid those nasty and sometimes embarrassing breakouts. So let’s get to it!

1. Your Shampoo and Conditioner

When you begin using a new shampoo and conditioner your hairline could start to show some pimples because your skin isn’t used to the new products your using. If your forehead continues showing symptoms of pimples try a new shampoo and conditioner and watch them go away! Your skin may be having a reaction to the ingredients in that shampoo and conditioner and if so go for a more organic cleanser.

2. Makeup Isn’t Vibing

There are some foundations that even if they’re so-called “clean,” the ingredients within the product just won’t vibe with your skin. Instead of always using a primer it may help to just use moisturizer as your primer so you aren’t adding a ton of products to the layers of your makeup. But if you need a primer, go with Cover FX Mattifying Primer with Anti-Acne Treatment. It may also help to try and go without foundation for several days out of the week to give your skin a break.

3. Trying Out a New Cleanser Or Products?

When you use a new cleanser it will take a little while for it to push out all of the bad in your skin so you can enjoy the good for weeks afterward. However, that isn’t always necessary and if you continue getting pimples then something is up and that cleanser just isn’t for you! I recently started using a cleanser with simple ingredients that doesn’t have any exfoliation. I only use cleansers that are soft on the skin.

If you’re using a tough exfoliator every day then pimples will continue to show. Get soft with your skin and use a toner as an exfoliator afterward instead.

4. Sugar, Chocolate or Greasy Foods

Sometimes our body backfires when we eat a lot of greasy and unhealthy foods. Most times it will show up on your skin if your insides aren’t feeling too great! So keep a balance of healthy and unhealthy foods but if you know that sugar or chocolate or extra fries are not doing your skin any good then stay away! However, if you do see some pimples popping up use a face mask or the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion I swear it will dry out all those starting pimples and get your skin back to healthy again.

5. Dairy Products

Just like sugar, chocolate, and greasy foods, many people have a skin reaction to the way cheese and dairy products can jive with the insides of their body, which isn’t great. If your body can’t digest cheese or dairy products then stop eating it for a week to try out a bit of a skin experiment and see if any pimples subside or lose their irritation. If so, then you could be allergic to dairy products and I would try to limit them the most you can to keep that skin clear and healthy!

6. Stress

Last but not least of course stress will get that skin looking gray, pimpled and just not so great. Stay hydrated when you’re feeling stressed, use a bit more of that drying lotion from Mario Badescu or add in an extra face mask night to give your skin some love.

But the best you can do to rewind those pimples and zits popping up from stress is to get your sleep, do some breathing exercises and stay hydrated. When you manage your stress with some good coping strategies then the pimples will subside.

There could be many reasons you’re having pimple issues including these six. However, there are ways to go around the issues and try to not only stop those pimples but ensure they don’t happen again! Stay hydrated, use soft and moisturizing cleansers and be kind to your skin! It really is working hard every day to help you look your best.
