At UNH there around 15,000 students enrolled, which allows you to have the experience of big lecture halls but also a classroom of 30 people and know everyone’s name. You can walk from class to class and know people and say hi, or you can walk around a see strangers.

As a freshman going into college is scary, you never know where anything is and you’re afraid if you will ever find “your people.” At UNH I have heard nothing but great stories of the freshman dorms and how close everyone is. It’s great to have a family your freshman year and to be able to live so close to them is even better.
Walking to class is a part of college, something I never really took into account but what is great about UNH is that your farthest walk to a class may be 15 minutes. You may think that is long but you’re gonna need to walk off that Ben and Jerry’s the night before.
Working while at school is important because you will eventually be spending more money than you could possibly be making. UNH is great with giving work studies and lots of places downtown are always hiring.
