With the pacific coast in Oxnard just 30 minutes away, you really get to take advantage of your prime location in the outskirts of LA.
If you’re visiting California, LA is worth every penny spent on exploring. Once you live near the metropolitan city, it’s nice to escape the binoculars and Disney ears once in a while.
If you’re feeling adventurous, the Hollywood sign and the Walk of Fame is close enough to go see for yourself. Even thought I live in the outskirts of LA, I can definitely admit to being a tourist for the day on many of my days off.
It’s like Disneyland but with just roller coasters and thrills. Located in the heart of Santa Clarita, it’s definitely considered its main landmark.
Los Angeles, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, all notorious for successful, but not so considerate people. Truly, the further you go from the bustling city, and closer to outskirts of LA, the nicer people get. The friendly atmosphere of Santa Clarita is definitely admirable.
Santa Clarita has got the be the place where I have always felt safest. The perfect place to raise a family while getting a true SoCal experience being so close to LA.
Although dry during some seasons, the valleys of Santa Clarita are beautiful in the spring, which are perfect for hiking. With multiple trails to choose from, the possibilities are endless.
In one town, I have never seen a more diverse population. You try new foods, meet interesting people, and get to experience many different parts of other’s traditions.
You’re near LA, without the horrendous traffic. It’s truly a blessing.
Scenic drives are abundant if you drive north of Santa Clarita. Pacific Coast Highway, the grape vines of Oxnard, it’s all a short drive up the coast.
And you don’t have to wait in line! With less crowds, you get to enjoy your nights in peace as you enjoy the cultural flavors southern California has to offer.
Without the inflated prices and craziness. There’s just enough bars and restaurants to have a good time, without blowing your life’s savings on entrance fees.
Music is another big part of many city’s revenue and social scene. Although we’re close to bigger arenas like Staples Center, we happen to have our own outdoor stage at Central Park where many local bands perform. The community truly comes together through music, especially at “Concerts in the Park”, an event put on by locals every summer.
Locals in Los Angeles tend to separate themselves from visitors and build their own little community of residents. The same goes for Santa Clarita, but it’s people truly make it feel like home, whether you live there or not.
