I am very excited to apply Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). I have fallen in with the RIT campus after seeing it first-hand from my high school trip. The huge campus is very pleasant and comfortable in a more unique environment than I expected. I have met several alumni from RIT who have only positive things to say about the school institution and its courses. RIT had the unique full spectrum of deaf, hard-of-hearing and hearing students and the multifariousness that I was searching for. RIT has a great commitment to diverse students include me, a social and educational dynamic to represent in the RIT community enriches the living and learning experience for all of us. In fact, RIT is consistently listed beyond top regional universities in the US. News & World Report: America’s Best Colleges. For this reason, that is why I chose to go to RIT, is that I wanted available services I could rely on inside and outside the classroom to give me the best chance of being successful. Here are the five reasons why I chose to go to Rochester Institute of Technology.
Which includes tutors, advisors, captionists and the sign language interpreters of any college program at RIT to help me succeed with my academics. I didn’t realize how much I have remarkably benefited from access service until I entered RIT.
I’m able to receive special federal support at RIT to allow me to pay less than one-half of RIT’s regular tuition rate. The interesting thing is that many Deaf and hard-of-hearing students go to RIT benefit from a private university education at public school price.
It includes hobbies, politics, sports, cultural diversity as well as student government and Greek organizations.
RIT athletics allow me to get involved with intramural and club sports that I enjoy. A variety of sports encourages me to participate, compete, and develop my skills to stay active and have fun too.
The recreations and other areas have offered a variety of beautiful parks, beaches, shopping, restaurants, museums and more. It is one of the largest population of Deaf community in the United States.
Now you know that RIT has an excellent reputation with technology, access and support services, campus life, and more. It is a vibrant and connected active community that is home to diverse, ambitious, and creative students from more than 100 countries. In other words, these “left-brain and right-brain” students can engage with RIT’s outstanding faculty where a learning environment is formed that innovation and creativity flourish.
