5 Reasons I’m Excited To Start At UNH
At the beginning of my senior year in high school I never imagined myself attending the University of New Hampshire; on my college list, it was at the bottom. But, once I finally stepped foot on the beautiful campus, seeing the Thompson Hall Clocktower and the Wildcat Statue, I knew I would be calling this place home for the next four years. These are the top reasons I am excited to start at UNH!!
1. Homecoming
Coming from a high school where football was all the talk, I know I can easily relate and transition over to being a Wildcat. Being a D1 school, football games are the place to be. Tailgating with family and friends is the perfect way to celebrate homecoming!
2. The Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics
One of the biggest factors as to why I chose to attend UNH: their business school! Newly renovated, I personally have to say it’s one of the most beautiful buildings on campus.
3. The Four Seasons
Even though I’m a native New Englander and have been through all of the four seasons, that gave me another reason to fall in love with UNH. From the fall where football games and apple picking happen all the way to spring/summer where darties and Cinco de Mayo occur, there is never a hit or miss with any season.
4. Downtown Durham/Portsmouth
Downtown Durham is a really cute and quiet place to explore and hangout. From cute shops, coffee shops, and boutiques, there is always something to do. Also, a bus ride away is Portsmouth where options are even more endless.
5. UNH Pride
I mean, this is everyone’s main reason to attend UNH right? Out of all schools that I toured my senior year of high school, I noticed that UNH has the most school pride and this gave me another reason to spend my four years here. From White Out the Whitt to sporting events to just wearing a UNH shirt or sweatshirt around campus, it is clear that the UNH students love being here.
