The Ultimate Ranking Of Freshman Dorms At The University Of California Davis
Are you looking for the best freshman dorms at The University of California Davis? Here at Davis, each living situation fits a specific personality, and just like people, they are easy to categorize. You can totally find whatever you are looking for, as each community completely attracts a certain type. So let’s begin…
1. Segundo
The only dorms that matter tbh. They are by far the most social and have all the best perks. If you’re not fully committed to being social, there is still a place for you. Reagan acts as an old folks home that is so silent you could hear a pin drop. On the bright side, their clubhouse looking dorms allows for everyone to know each other creating a great sense of community. Whether it’s a 10 minute bike ride away from any class you have, a five minute walk to the ARC, a last minute run to Rite Aide or Trader Joe’s, or late to your sorority or frat meeting, Segundo’s location has got your back, since they are the most centrally located dorms. More importantly, they have the best DC food, so much so that other sad non-Segundo members will pay a daily visit to avoid using their own.
2. Tercero
This Crayola colored Utopia comes in second. They are the newest dorms on campus which is the only reason they are second place. By default they are the most up to date, but in this case, new is not better, I promise. Known as the choice for the less social which results in their placement in a far away land near the cows. Yes, you can hear them, yes you can smell them. I don’t care how many people say the smell doesn’t bother them because they’re lying. Nobody wants the smell of cows lingering in their room for no reason… nobody.
3. Quarto
Lastly we come upon your average side of the highway-looking cheap motel, aka Quarto. Two words, Off. Campus. People who live here will try to assure you that it’s “not that bad” because they have a pool and a hot tub (that no one uses btw), but yes, it is that bad. These apartment style dorms consist of one semi-normal sized common room with doors leading to individual bedrooms. There is no kitchen situation at all, just your average microwave and fridge duo, not very apartment-y if you ask me. So irrelevant that few people know how to actually get there, totally proving they are the worst freshmen dorms.
