So with summer coming up, we all are planning our cute little holiday outfits. You know, maxi dresses, shorty shorts, and flared skirts to mention a few! But what about those of us that are not going on holiday? It’s a sad fact but not all of us have grand holidays planned this year. But just because you don’t have an exotic getaway planned doesn’t mean you can’t create fabulous rainy day looks. So instead of eating ice cream and sitting at home pouring over your friend’s Facebook pictures of Barbados, dress up and face the summer rain in style!
You can never really go wrong with dungarees especially when it comes to rainy day looks. They always look cute no matter what. Some dark blue denim or black denim dungarees will look nice and the darker colour will hide any raindrops! Pair this with some converse and a bright stripey top to add colour to the outfit. Something to complete the look nicely would be a translucent raincoat with a hood. This will add a chic touch to the look. Tie your hair back in a high pony and add some big hoop earrings for a cute, fun touch.

Sweater dresses always look cute and stylish. Because it’s summer, it’s always advisable to wear some brighter colours, even if it rains. Now if it’s a little cold you can wear it with some nude tights to keep your legs cosy. This outfit would pair nicely with some ankle boots and a long thin raincoat. You could even dress it up with a long shell necklace or a colourful, silk scarf. Or if you’re feeling brave and don’t mind wet legs, you skip the tights and wear some knee-high boots or some funky wellie boots.

Denim is an all year round kind of material. But something about the summer weather always makes it look nice. Even in the rain! Team some high-waisted ripped fitted jeans with a cotton top or band t-shirt depending on how cold it is. Again you can pair this with a raincoat or a matching denim jacket and neon coloured umbrella! You could also glam up this look with a messy bun, a cute charm bracelet, and an ear cuff to add a little flair. After all, the rain shouldn’t stop you from living your best rainbow life.

A maxi dress is always the best thing to wear in the summer. Even if there’s rain outside, maxi dresses are always workable. The can look super cute with converse and a cardigan. A patterned umbrella would be a really cute accessory with this outfit or wear a hooded raincoat to finish it off. You can add a belt here as well to accentuate your waist and a choker necklace to give the outfit a little sass and rebellion.

Chiffon blouses are nice for the summer because they’re generally quite thin so they are cool enough for hotter weather. Tucked into a pair of culotte trousers, this look is really sophisticated for the summer rain especially if you have to work. This outfit would pair nicely with some tied back hair, a black raincoat and some sleek red lipstick to vamp up the look. This is for sure one of our top rainy day looks!

A pencil skirt always gives off a sexy and sophisticated vibe. An paired with a short sleeve band t-shirt it will give it a more casual summer look. Again, a cute thin coat would go nicely with this outfit or the translucent raincoat look would work well here too. For this, your hair would look best just hanging loose and straight and you could really spice up this whole outfit by accessorizing with a nice little clutch.
