If you’re like me and always looking for quick ways to improve your look on the way out the door, there are actually many great options available to you. Here are some suggestions that will have you leaving prepared, confident, and attuned to your destination for maximum beauty and good times. These are fantastic tips for any event; work, a job interview, a date, or other. These call for simple things you likely already have around your house or apartment, simple to employ, and can make a nice, positive difference you will notice. Here are some little tips and items you can use to improve your look quickly in noticeable ways!
One thing I like to use and was cheap to buy was an eyebrow brush. Once long ago I plucked my eyebrows a little too much and have since been worried about over-plucking. This has really been the key for me, and larger, more outstanding eyebrows have also been widely trending in the last few years.
Brushing through your eyebrows quickly with an eyebrow comb is easy enough out the door, and a natural way to achieve the shape, coloration, and body eyebrows you desire. I have also found that my eyebrows have become less unruly in general as a result of what has become a key part of my beauty, out-the-door routine.
The eyebrows have stayed and seemingly continued to grow more in the shape I have been daily guiding them in, which can be easily individualized by how you want your eyebrows to look in general as you comb them in different ways and directions both at the ends and in the middle areas.
This brushing often ends up providing you with less maintenance eyebrows that need to be plucked or waxed far less frequently, saving you time and money in the long run. If your experience is similar to mine, you will be delighted with natural, fuller, and darker-looking brows that stand out positively. If you have gotten a little overzealous with the tweezers or waxing in the past, this tip can really save your look while doing some of that work for you.
Another quick addition to your look on your way out is a quick sweep through your eyelashes with mascara. Now these are quick tips, so this does NOT mean a full makeup job, but I have found that one quick run through at both ends of both eyes can make a striking difference. This is not full makeup on your eyes but can give your look enough kick to give that subtle, “yes, I woke up like this” impression, and only you’ll know the secret.
I have also found that with something like mascara, less is more in general anyway. We have all seen those caked-on looking lashes and the point is to color and extend your lashes rather than drown and cover them. I like to focus on and highlight what is already there toward my beauty routine than work to put together a whole new face every day or so.
Always remember, and it is especially prudent here with quick tips, you are naturally beautiful, just as you are. It’s somewhat of a cliche, but always true and worth keeping in mind, out the door, and in the mirror.
A great way to boost your look at the last minute is also with a little bit of bling! See if there is a watch, earrings, and/or necklace that you could add that could take things up a notch. These items can really serve to compliment an outfit, especially when well-matched in coloring and patterns together and to what you’re wearing.
These can also make that casual or semi-casual look more formal with subtle class and elegance. Jewelry is always one of the things people have noticed and complimented most for me so try it and see what positive responses you get!
And when you are almost headed out, just in the doorway putting those last touches on your look, there are a lot of great options and decisions for outfit coverings you can consider. There is a jacket, coat, sweater, cardigan, and wrap to name a few.
Beyond consideration to comfort in different kinds of weather and seasons, these items can make a further complement to your outfit when aptly chosen for style and occasion. A covering like these can make an already outfit all the more trendy and nice-looking.
First take a final look at the outfit you’ve chosen, (in a mirror if available). A key tip is to foremost make last-minute sure your outfit best suits the occasion you’re wearing it to. If it’s a birthday party, anniversary, family/friend occasion, a great choice is semi-casual. A nice seasonal dress or skirt, with boots or nice shoes, and pants or shorts are some great choices. If it’s a wedding or professional gathering, closer to formal is best. This can mean so much as one of your nicer pairs of pants or skirts simply paired with a dressier pair of shoes, jacket, or coat.
They can make the look more formal, but there are many different options so don’t sweat it. Also, make sure your shoes match both your outfit and suit the occasion well. Jackets and shoes, while often necessary, when seen as an accessory in purpose to the outfit, can be a great opportunity to highlight your appearance really well. These items can be your pop of color, texture, or pattern for example. Highlighting and complimenting in this way can also be done through a scarf or hat.
Attention to the occasion, the right accessories, and a couple little details on your face are all great last-minute ways of taking your look and overall impression to others and the world to another level. An elevated look, wisely chosen, can also boost your overall self-confidence. You may find yourself more efficient and successful as a result of this, as I have often found for myself by some of these choices. Before you close and lock the door, don’t forget to bring your greatest asset, your smile, and your positive outlook!
