8 Quick Hairstyles For On The Go When Your Running Late To Uni

Okay, so if you’re reading this article you must be all too familiar with the morning rush to uni; and maybe a little unsure of what hairstyle you can pull off with the little time you have to spare. Don’t worry, this article has you covered with eight must-try hairstyles when you’re running late to uni.

1. The Basic Bun

This hairstyle is one that varies with time depending on how much you have to spare. Short on time go for a messy bun. All you need to do is comb the front of your hair, grab a hair tie and secure the back of your hair into a bun shape. However, if you have about ten minutes to spare why not try a sleek bun, neatly comb back the front of your hair securing flyaway hairs with hairspray, then tie your hair into a ponytail and wrap it into a bun pinning it either on top or at the back of your head. For a quick and easy bun shape why not invest in a bun donut, all you need to do is put your hair through the donut then around.

2. Classic Ponytail

Not only is this a quick and easy hairstyle you’ve been practicing since primary school, but it’s a hairstyle that leaves room for creativity. You can opt for the high ponytail, low, side, curly, straight, neat or messy, really it is up to you. All you have to do is choose your preferred ponytail being realistic on your time restraints, comb your hair, secure it with a hair tie and spray or gel it for a nice finished look.

3. The Messy Side Plait

This hairstyle is one that is so convenient because you can basically do it on the train without a comb. All you have to do it move all your hair towards your chosen side, and using your fingers divide the hair into two. Then start by overlapping one side of the divided hair over the other, then repeat with the other divided part, till you’ve reached the end of your hair. Then once you’ve successfully plaited your hair, secure it with a hair elastic at the bottom. There you go, now time to get running to that lecture.

4. Loose Waves/Curls

Now, this is a hairstyle that can be achieved in two ways. If you have dead straight hair just grab some moose and scrunch the bottom of your hair up for a loose wave or curl. If you have curly hair and still want to achieve the loose wave, just brush your hair, do a quick plait then go over the plait with a straightener. Once you’ve done this, undo the plait and there you go loose curls to bounce your way around uni.

5. Half Up Half Down

This is a hairstyle that is super quick and will get you to that lecture in no time. Just divide your hair into two sections, a top and bottom. Then tie up the top half with an elastic and apply some hairspray to neaten the area up. For something a little different, you could even tie the top half into a little bun and secure it with a colourful scrunchie for a more out there look.

We’ve all had the morning rush where you jump out of the shower with dripping wet hair and have to be out of the door in ten minutes. When you’re having one of these mornings why not opt for the sleek look. Just grab a towel and dry up your hair till its damp, then with a hair comb, comb the front part of your hair backward. Then finish the look by applying hairspray to the front of the hair.
