Here are 10 questions to ask a potential boyfriend. These are perfect questions to ask on a date. These are personal questions to ask if you're into the guy

Dating is always a blast; seriously, I’m a big fan of old school dates and meeting new people. However, at some point you have to slow down and ask yourself what you want long term. After all, that’s usually why dates occur in the first place; or for me anyways. Casual dates are fun here and there, but there is nothing more satisfying than walking home from an amazing date feeling as though you truly got to know someone. The best part of dating is taking the time to get to know someone on a deeper level. So, if you are finally looking to settle down, here are some questions to ask a potential boyfriend or anyone you go on a date with for that matter. Heads-up: these are serious questions to ask a potential boyfriend.

If you aren’t quite at the stage where you think they’d be a potential boyfriend, here are some questions you should ask during the casual dating stage.

1. What is your biggest goal in life?

This is one of the best questions to ask a potential boyfriend; it truly reveals a lot about a person. It will tell you what they’re passionate about, let alone if they have any passion. Generally this question gives rise for intimate conversation. There is nothing more admirable than watching someone light up about the things they feel most intimate about. This question will indubitably reveal if you two want the same things out of life.

2. What are the most important things in life?

This one is similar to the previous question to ask a potential boyfriend. However, this question lets you in on their morals. Often times, and not so surprisingly, people will respond with answers like “financial stability” or anything related to finance. Personally, this answer is a red flag to me for a potential boyfriend. However, to each their own, no judgement. So long as you know your own personal priorities. This question truly elicits what they’d like to get out of life.

3. If you are allowed to do just one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

This is one of those questions to ask a potential boyfriend because again, it reveals what they consider to be a priority in their life. Personally, if this were a question I was asked, my answer would hands down be “backpack around the world and take photos.”

4. Who has been the most influential person for you so far in life?

Another one of the greatest questions to ask a potential boyfriend. It gets them opening up about the people in their life who mean the most to them. Similar to all these other questions, you truly get to know this person on an intimate and private level.

5. What’s your social life like? Do you have a big group of friends?

This is one of those important questions to ask a potential boyfriend believe it or not. It sets the agenda for if you are both introverts, extroverts or vary. Often times they say an introvert needs an extrovert to balance out the social scene but who knows. It’s up to you to decide what you’re interested in. Still it would be a bummer to be with someone whose always going out, if you’re the type to stay in.

6. What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?

Pretty self-explanatory. If you don’t have similar hobbies that could create a bit of an issue.

7. Whose your biggest role model?

This is one of the greatest questions to ask a potential boyfriend. Again, it’s very telling of their morals. Often times our role models are people we aspire to be. If the asshole says some douche, you might want to reconsider.

Again, very telling.

9. Who in your family are you closest to?

10. What is your favorite family tradition you used to do when you were a kid?

I think any question concerning family is an intimate one.

These questions to ask a potential boyfriend are all questions that are intimate and spark conversation that’s bound to reveal their personality, morals and priorities. All serious things you’d want to figure out before committing to someone. Dating should be a slow fun process, so enjoy it!
