15 Prom Approved Heels That Are Cute And Comfortable

Prom should be fun. It should be full of dancing, laughter, and friends; not ankle pain or blisters. But, after some time dancing the night away, that is often all that is on your mind as you remove your cute heels and decide to go barefoot or switch into your emergency flats that in no way go with your dress. In an attempt to help you avoid that tragedy, here are some prom heel ideas that are as cute as they are comfortable, and won’t have you dying to remove them within the first hour there.

1. Black Block Heel Sandal:

Looking for a classic and comfortable party sandal? Then I don’t think you need to look much further than this heel right here. I’ve been seeing these everywhere from parties to formal events to just walking around my college campus. These low heels are definitely cute and with their immense popularity, they must be pretty comfortable as well.

2. Fun, Unique Heels:

Do you want a million people to come up to you at prom and say, “I love your shoes, where did you get them?” The answer is always yes because it sure feels amazing to know your shoe game is on point. There also is the worry surrounding prom that someone will wear the exact same thing as you and with a unique little heel that won’t be a problem. It’s also just a nice feeling to have something in your outfit that no one else will have.

3. Nude Heels:

For another classic look that is sure to go with everything, a great style is a nude heel. They will go with the lighter colors of spring and they are so versatile that you’d be able to re-wear them to any weddings or formal events that you have coming up in the spring and summer.

4. White Heels:

Speaking of the upcoming warm seasons that are spring and summer, another low heel shoe that would go great with a prom dress and the warmer months would be a pristine white sandal. It’ll make your outfit look fresh and put together as long as you can keep them clean. They also give me those beach vacation vibes that I am in desperate need of right now since I am drowning in the cold snow of New York.

5. Blue Heels:

Everyone needs something blue in one of the most important outfits in their lives. I’m still talking about prom dresses and rocking a cute and comfortable heel. A deep, blue gives me the feeling of tranquility and elegance. It’s just a great color, one of my favorites, so why not wear these low blue heels to prom?

6. Pink Block Heel Sandal:

For the girl that wants to look like a princess on her prom night, these pink heels would be for you. The block heel will help you stand tall and gracefully as you imagine that you are a member of royalty entering a ball. Regality and softness really are fused together perfectly into this shoe. What could be better?

7. Embellished Heels:

For another shoe that will have everyone in the room envious, I recommend a shoe with dark embellishments or a show-stopping embellished bow. It is in everyone’s best interest, I think, to pull together a prom outfit that is classic and will be remembered fondly for years to come but also has a little bit of something that is uniquely you, whether that be your jewelry or these amazing, sparkly shoes.

8. Wedge Sandals:

For cute and comfortable shoes for prom, go for low wedge heels. This style of shoe is always easy to walk, dance, and balance in. I also find them to be the most comfortable and they are the first style of shoe I look for when I want a dressy shoe but not flats. I would always recommend getting a more neutral color so you could re-wear them. You’ll definitely want to.

9. Metallic Wedge Sandals:

If you feel like your wedge sandal game needs something extra, look no further than a metallic or glittery pair. Honestly, when it comes to prom or any formal event I feel like you can never go wrong by adding a little more sparkle. It just adds something to your whole ensemble. I also think that shoes are the perfect way to do that aside from jewelry, of course.

10. Black Heels:

Getting back to classic shoes for prom, you will never be able to go wrong with black heels. Like nude heels, the style is completely timeless and can be worn with many outfits for years to come. Black heels will never be out of style. Black is always the new black.

11. Deep Red Heels:

As we all know, red is the color of love and romance. If you would like to look romantic and flirty in your prom attire, then these comfy red heels might be for you. A deeper red color will also look amazing in the dimmed lights of the event hall. Honestly, ruby red just looks amazing on everyone who are we kidding.

12. Grey Block Heels:

If you’re looking for a soft, but sophisticated shoe color, then these shoes are definitely what you need to wear for your prom. I feel like this color is also a great transition hue that looks amazing with a flowy dress in both late winter and spring. So, this would be a prime prom season heel.

13. Beaded Heels

I think we can all agree that in terms of beaded and bejeweled at prom, it’s always better to do rather than don’t. The glittering style always makes one feel like they are the center of attention, and when you are getting all glammed up for prom, I think that’s what you’re going for. In case you wanted to enter prom like a queen, and don’t we all, here is a beaded low heel that is fit for a royal, but a royal that gets stuff done.

14. Sparkly Silver Heels

Keeping with the theme of beaded heels, and the theme of the whole article, silver sparkly shoes should always be an option for your prom outfit in my opinion. With this low heeled version, you won’t have to sacrifice typical prom glam for comfort.

15. Slingback Heels:

For a more modern, and dare I say relaxed, prom heel, a slingback style would be perfect. These shoes are cute, easy to wear, and will keep your feet pain-free from the first song to the last. Pick a color that goes with your gorgeous dress and get ready to look cute and feel comfy.
