13 Products That Will Keep Your MacBook Scratch-Free

Nobody wants scratches on their Macbook—unless I am behind on some kind of a destructive trend. There’s plenty of products to choose from when you are looking for something to protect your MacBook. You can check out this list of eco-friendly and ethical options for your phone, laptop and tablet. On this particular list, you’ll find a variety of different options (colour and style-wise). Although, the most popular ways to protect a MacBook are a sleeve and a hard case, so we will be looking at different varieties of those options.

1. Hard Case

Here’s one version of a hard case. You’ll see a few on the list. This particular one has a beautiful image of a misty forest on the front, so you can be close to nature. Although, you might not want to go for a plastic hard case if you love nature so much. The thing is, however, that plastic hardcovers, flawed as they are, stand the test of time. I have had the same cover for about four years now and it’s still going strong.

2. Sleeve With Handle

If you are not a fan of hardcovers, your other option is a sleeve. I tend to find sleeves a bit annoying sometimes, as they are not the easiest to carry around. This one has kept in mind that inconvenience and has put a handle on the side to help with carrying. If you are just fine with a regular sleeve, getting this one gives you an extra option of carrying it.

3. Shock Resistant Laptop Sleeve

If you are worried about falls, or travel marks or are unsure of the safety of generic sleeves and cases, you could look at this shock-resistant laptop sleeve. It also comes with an additional pouch for your mouse and other accessories. You will definitely feel at ease knowing that your MacBook is stored safely in this sleeve.

4. Briefcase Bag With Front Pocket

We mentioned sleeve with a handle and this is a slightly more upgraded version of that. This briefcase bag comes with a front pocket for your accessories. It has a comfortable handle, which can be used for carrying, though you can also carry it as a regular sleeve.

5. Felt Sleeve With Bag

This is one of my personal favourite solutions. This sleeve comes with felt on the outside and flannel on the inside for maximum protection. The lining material is wear-resistant and won’t scratch your MacBook, while the felt absorbs shock and protects your MacBook. There’s one main compartment for your MacBook, a second one for magazines, books, tablet, etc. There are also two back pockets for your cellphone, earphones, wallet, etc.

6. Marble Case

If you want to be in with the marble trend, which still seems to be going, then this is a great choice. Marble cases also tend to be the best designs hard cases in my experience. They are minimalist, have character and will protect your MacBook from scratches. It’s also a great option if you are worried you are going to get bored with the designs on most cases. Marble is not as obvious a pattern and it’s subtle enough for you to be able to use it for many years without getting bored.

7. Laptop Sleeve With Electronic Accessories Organiser

If you need a bit more space, then why not get a sleeve which will both keep your MacBook scratch-free and your electronic accessories organised? This sleeve gives you both with an ample amount of storage. It’s perfect if you are travelling and need to bring a lot of accessories with you.

8. Transparent Case

If you like the look of your MacBook and you don’t like sleeves, then a transparent case might be the best option for you. The transparent case keeps your MacBook safe, while also barely altering its appearance.

9. Slick Case Cases

These are some beautiful MacBook cases. You will see a big variety on the website, but the one that caught my eye while scrolling, which I hadn’t seen made this well anywhere else, was their floral range. They really make some great-looking accessories.

11. Leather Sleeve from Apple

There’s this thing with bike owners, where you have to make sure you buy locks which cost at least 10% (so the more the better) of the price of your bike. Otherwise, you risk having your bike stolen, or in other words, you risk not having your bike. If we use a similar algorithm with products meant to keep your MacBook safe, then this leather sleeve from Apple should be one of the best options available. I mean, if they put the apple on it, they recommend it, so…

12. Envelope Sleeve

Another interesting design which you can get from the accessories store on the apple website, this sleeve gives your MacBook not only protection but also style. If you are going to be putting your beautiful MacBook away, it might as well be in something equally beautiful, right?

13. Native Union Stow Sleeve

Another option from the official Apple accessories store. This sleeve is both beautiful and functional. Aside from your main compartment where you can keep your MacBook protect, you also have a front pocket where you can fit your accessories. This is a very good-looking sleeve which is going to last you many years to come. It also makes a great gift.
