10 Pretty Plants To Spruce Up Your Apartment That Are Easy To Take Care Of

Apartments are fun but they also come with the challenge of decorating! Something that always brightens up a room is a plant…or ten. Plants come with plenty of benefits aside from making a room more relaxing and colorful, but they can be hard to take care of. 1. Peace Lily

This will always make its way on the list for being an easy plant to take care of. Peace lilies will tell you exactly what they need. If they’re drooping, don’t panic about them dying, that’s their way of saying they need water. Water them and they’ll perk back up! They prefer a filtered light but also flourish in low light, making it a compatible houseplant. These pretty plants also promote cleaner air by removing formaldehyde, benzine, and carbon monoxide. This leafy plant sports small white flowers that give a clean look to any room. 

2. Majesty Palms

If you want a bigger plant to brighten up a corner of the room, Majesty Palm is an excellent choice. Giving off exotic vibes, these bad boys multitask by providing a tropical escape and purify the air of formaldehyde, benzene, and carbon monoxide. Another bonus, they are nontoxic to cats and dogs, so you can have peace of mind having your animals around these lovelies. 5. Aloe

Aloe is a succulent that has healing properties when used for medicinal purposes. The leaves can be used to heal sunburn, clear acne, improve digestion, and promote oral health when harvested properly. They like light, a lot, so make sure you put them somewhere sunny. This plant will become your best friend and best decor in the room.

6. Money Tree

The pachira aquatica, or the money tree, is a leafy plant with a beautifully braided trunk that is thought to bring good luck and good fortune to their family. Money trees add a simple greenery to your interior design while giving off an exotic feel. These plants thrive with an infrequent watering. Just make sure to saturate the soil until water runs from the drainage holes in the pot. Allow the tree to dry out in between waterings. 10. Rubber Fig
