20 Positive Affirmations You Need To Tell Yourself Every Day
Everybody needs some positive affirmations in their everyday life. Telling yourself positive things will boost your confidence and help you start living a happier life. If you’re struggling with your self-worth, take a look in the mirror, fix your crown, and repeat these positive affirmations every day.
1. I am enough
No matter where you are in the moment, it’s always important to remind yourself that who you are, what you do, and what you have is enough. The more you remind yourself by repeating these positive affirmations, the more you will believe that it’s true.
2. I have the power to control my thoughts, feelings, and choices
Nobody can control how you feel, what you think, and what you choose to do. And you shouldn’t allow anybody to do so, either. It’s your life, and you’ve only got one to live. Make sure you’re doing what’s best for YOU and what makes YOU happy. Who cares what everyone else thinks? You’re in control of yourself, and let this positive affirmation be a daily reminder.
3. I choose to be happy right now
Now that you understand that you’re in control of your choices, why not choose to be happy? You know how the saying goes: for every minute you’re angry, you lose 60 seconds of happiness. Life is too short to be anything but happy, so if you can choose to be happy, do it! This is one of those positive affirmations that can really make a difference.
4. I release all negativity and hold joy in my heart
There’s no point in losing your peace of mind over someone else who isn’t benefitting you. By holding grudges and being negative, you’re allowing someone else to control how you feel. Remember, positive affirmation #2? We don’t allow others to control our thoughts and feelings! Choosing to hold joy in your heart instead of contempt will be better for your mental health.
5. I am proud of myself
You might not hear this positive affirmation enough from others, so make sure to say it to yourself often. You don’t even have to accomplish anything significant to be proud of yourself. Be proud of yourself for making it through the day or for not giving up when you wanted to throw in the towel. That alone deserves some recognition.
6. I trust in myself
The relationship we have with ourselves and our source is the most important one we have. We need to be able to trust ourselves and our decisions if we ever want to make it in life. Those with low self-esteem should especially be saying this positive affirmation daily. You may know more than you think, so trust yourself and let your inner wisdom be your guide.
7. I am confident that I can achieve anything
Let this positive affirmation remind you that each and every person has something unique and special to offer to this world. If you believe that you have a special calling, have the confidence to go for it. You’ll always win if you have enough confidence.
8. I will not waste time feeling sorry for myself
Unfortunately, some things don’t always go exactly according to plan. Instead of letting that setback ruin your entire day, repeat this positive affirmation. Moping around and feeling sorry for yourself does nothing for you. Instead, learn from your mistakes and figure out what you need to do differently.
9. Just because I am struggling, doesn’t mean I am failing
We all go through our struggles, but that does not mean you’re failing. It simply means that you’re trying, and positive affirmations like this one are great reminders of how strong you really are. In tough times, you can choose to keep going, or you can crumble under pressure.
10. I am still alive, and that is something to be grateful for
Do you sometimes ever think that you’ve run out of things to be grateful for? Place your hand on your chest. Do you feel that beating? You still have your life, and that is something you should always be grateful for. No matter how low you may feel, remembering this positive affirmation can give you some positivity and hope to make you feel better.
11. I deserve to be happy
You weren’t put on this Earth just to be miserable and die. That’s no way to live! Choose to be happy because you deserve it. You’ll be so amazed at what you start attracting once you know your worth and what you deserve. Repeat this positive affirmation until you understand how valuable your happiness. If whatever or whoever isn’t making you happy, it’s not worth it.
12. I’ve done my best today
A lot of times, we start comparing ourselves to others. Once we see how much someone else has accomplished, we begin to think less of ourselves. Don’t do that! You and that person you’re comparing yourself to are on different chapters in your lives. Try not to focus too much on the future. Tell yourself this positive affirmation and stay positive. Everything you did today will lead to a better tomorrow.
13. I am releasing self-judgement and embracing self-love
There’s no love like self-love! You can’t possibly expect to achieve wonderful things in life if you’re always talking badly about yourself. It’s not enough to just say this positive affirmation. Once you start truly believing it and loving yourself, flaws and all, you will be unstoppable! You owe yourself the love that you freely give to other people.
14. I am beautiful
Alexa, play ‘Beautiful’ by Christina Aguilera. Now, this is probably one of those positive affirmations that you’ve heard time and time again. However, it’s for a good reason—knowing that you’re beautiful on the inside and the outside is a form of embracing self-love. Look at yourself in the mirror and find a physical feature that you love the most about yourself. Keep telling yourself that you are beautiful.
15. My potential is limitless
You’re capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for. Acknowledge it and make everyone around you see it. Whatever you feel the most passionate about in life, you know you can tackle it because your potential is limitless. Remember this positive affirmation whenever you’re feeling doubtful.
16. I will not let my past determine my future
Say it louder for the people in the back! You are NOT who you used to be. You have grown and evolved and will only continue to get better. Remember that you are in control of your choices. Say this positive affirmation loud and proud, leave your past self behind, and focus on becoming all that you want to be.
17. Every baby step I take is making me stronger
Some progress is better than no progress. Each step you’re taking forward, no matter how small, brings you even closer to your goal. Positive affirmations like this serve as a reminder that you’re getting stronger every day. That’s something to be proud of.
18. All things are temporary
In the wise words of Rainer Maria Rilke, no feeling is final. Sure, something might upset you in the moment, or things don’t happen to go the way you want them to. Just breathe. Remember your positive affirmations. This setback is only temporary, and life will go on.
19. I am surrounded by love
This may sound hard to believe, but it’s true. If you have friends, family, a partner, or someone else close to you, then you’re surrounded by love. There are people out there who you probably don’t even personally know who are rooting for you. It can be hard to remember positive affirmations like this when you’re feeling alone, but know that you are loved more than you will ever know.
20. Today is going to be a great day
A beautiful day begins with a beautiful mindset. If you want to have a good day, this is the positive affirmation you should be saying every single morning when you wake up. Your early morning thoughts will set the tone for how your day will turn out, so make sure to keep them positive and optimistic.
