5 Popular Self Help Books For Women For Instant Success

mm
Popular self help books for women are viral. Outliers and Big Magic are among the most popular self help books on the market. Self help books help a lot

Let me let you in on a little secret; I’m obsessed with books. I’ve subscribed to Book of the Month and I live for Emma Robert’s Belletrist book club that celebrates independent bookstores and books not on the best sellers list. However, while fiction is my second favorite genre, self help books are my absolute favorite. For many people that might come off a bit weird but self help books can actually be incredibly useful and insightful. With that, here are some popular self help books for women that are life changing… and personally, my favorites.

A List of Popular Self Help Books For Women

The Secret

“The Secret” is one of the most, if not the most popular self help book on the market. The reason why I believe this popular self help book is perfect for women is because it truly has changed my life. Rhonda Byrne wrote the book based on the pseudo-scientific “law of attraction.” I find this to be one of the popular self help books for women because it supports the idea of gratitude, visualization and going after what you want to achieve one’s desires. With a majority of the odds pinned against our favor in society, I think “The Secret” is perfect for promoting the idea of chasing after what you want. There are several valuable lessons in “The Secret” women should take away: channel your inner power and don’t let anyone stop you from getting what you want.

The Power of Now

“The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment” is another popular self help book perfect for women. Eckhart Tolle writes a day-to-day guide to living and exposes the daily stresses people often interact with. What’s powerful about this self help book is Tolle’s capability to debunk excuses we make for ourselves and re-works the notion of living in the moment; the here and now is most important to obtaining happiness. Like “The Secret” this best-selling self help book was recommended by Oprah. Over three million copies have been sold in North America and I strongly stand by it’s high standing on my popular self help books for women list.

Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear

Next on the popular self help books for women  list is “Big Magic.” I’ve written about Elizabeth Gilbert’s podcast for women, “Magic Lessons.” If you loved “Eat, Pray, Love” you will love this book because it’s by the same author! Gilbert uses her self help book to discuss empowerment and inspiration that influences her creativity and thought process. If you consider yourself to be a creative person, this the best self help book for you; it’s profound, radiant and provides a new way of looking at ideas.

Outliers: The Story of Success

Outliers” is fourth on the list of popular self help books for women. Okay, so several men have read this self help book and absolutely loved it. If you are someone who is a man of Malcolm Gladwell, his book is no exception. This self help book takes a more analytical and psychological approach to success. Topics like how Canadian ice hockey players birth dates, Bill Gates, The Beatles and culture shape our level of success are all explored. Gladwell wrestles with two varying ideas: nature versus nurture. The idea of individual potential and society juxtapose one another leaving us curious about our own potential and how to take control of maximizing our success. Maybe you can understand why I’ve put “Outliers” on the list of popular self help books for women. This is truly one of the best selling self help books out there.

Think and Grow Rich

Think and Grow Rich” is the fifth and final book on the list of popular self help books for women. Napoleon Hill wrote this self improvement book in 1937 and is about philosophy, self help and personal success. There are 13 steps to success outlined in his book ranging from desire, decision, the brain and the sixth sense. This is one of the most famous self help books to date. Similar to “The Secret” and “The Power of Now,” negative thoughts we channel largely impact our success rate.  After all, this book was written after the Great Depression! This truly is a must-read book for everyone.

While these are some of my favorite popular self help books for women that I think are useful beyond comprehension, there are a few others I have added to my list that I’m absolutely on my way to reading: “You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life,” “The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom,” “How to Win Friends and Influence People,” and “The 4-Hour Workweek,”
