10 Pop Music Videos That Are Simply Stunning To Watch

Pop music videos have defined our culture for decades. They give viewers a direct look into the minds of the artists and make you feel something real. As time has gone on, music videos have become more and more visually appealing and well thought out, giving even more meaning to a song. This list of pop music videos will stun you with how visually beautiful they are and might even make you think twice about what the song means to you.

1. “Wildest Dreams” – Taylor Swift

First up on our list of stunning music videos is from the one and only Taylor Swift. All of the music videos from her 2014 album 1989 are amazing so it was honestly hard to pick just one. But, “Wildest Dreams” has always stood out to me in terms of stunning visuals and it’s clear why. In the video, brunette Taylor stars in a safari-themed movie and has an on-again-off-again relationship with her co-star. The amazing background of the African Serengeti plain plus the pretty close-ups of the two actors makes for an incredible video.

2. “Falling” – Harry Styles

Next on our list of stunning pop music videos is the iconic “Falling” by Harry Styles. As if this song wasn’t sad enough, this music video definitely amps up the sad. The video starts with Harry sitting on the floor, then moving to the piano. As he plays the piano, water begins to rush out of it, and slowly fills up the room. As the song reaches the end, Harry is completely submerged, and it’s as if he’s drowning from his emotions. Between the gorgeous piano shots and the beautiful underwater scenes, the video is just plain amazing.

3. “Out of Love” – Alessia Cara

Some of the saddest songs make the best music videos, and this is true with the next video on our list. “Out of Love” by Alessia Cara is a heartwrenching song with the singer asking a past lover when they fell out of love with them. The video is just as somber, showcasing a couple’s ups and downs of their relationship. The scenery changes from a sunny and beautiful valley, to a sad car conversation, to a dark and desolate room. This music video would get anyone in their feels, but even more so because of the beautiful visuals.

4. “God is a Woman” – Ariana Grande

If you have never seen the next pop video on our list, I can’t tell you how much you’re missing out. Not only does this video promote the killer song by pop queen Ariana Grande, the video for “God is a Woman” is one that’ll be treasured for decades. From the subliminal messages to the killer theme of this video, there’s nothing about this music video that you won’t enjoy. The production and editing are superb, making you think Ariana really is dancing through the galaxy and taking over the world.

5. “The Greatest” – Sia

The next feature on our list of stunning pop music videos is “The Greatest” by the amazing Sia. This video is hauntingly beautiful and starts with a girl silently painting her face with rainbows. The video then pans to motionless bodies on the floor, who are then freed from their jail cell by the girl. This video is filled with hidden messages and it’s been perceived by many as a tribute to the 49 victims of the Orlando Pulse shooting. It’s heartbreakingly beautiful to watch.

6. “Consequences” – Camila Cabello

Like I said before, there’s something about sad songs that make the most stunning music videos. “Consequences” by Camila Cabello tells the story of a girl looking back on a past love, both the good times and the bad. It goes from a simple stroll through a beautiful park to a chilly walk on a snowy evening, showcasing all the emotions the protagonist is feeling. Eventually, the ghosts of her past relationship fade away, and Camila is left walking all alone.

7. “Stone Cold” – Demi Lovato

Before this next music video even existed, I knew “Stone Cold” by Demi Lovato was made to be appreciated in video form. This striking video starts with an emotional Demi sitting in her bathtub fully clothed, then transitions back and forth to Demi belting her heart out on a gorgeous frozen landscape. This video is just so pretty to look at and fits perfectly with the mood of the song. I highly recommend checking out this video if you haven’t already!

8. “Perfect Places” – Lorde

If you’re looking for a music video that perfectly represents your angsty teen phase in the best way, then look no further. The video for “Perfect Places” by Lorde is extremely underrated and I’ll never understand why. It feels like you’re in a movie and each scene is a different feeling or emotion. From running on a beach in a beautiful gown to floating under a waterfall to dancing and frolicking around in Lorde’s iconic fashion, this video is perfect. I love it when an artist can perfectly encapsulate the feeling a song gives in a video.

9. “Before You Go” – Lewis Capaldi

We’ve potentially reached the saddest video on this list of pop music videos, but that’s what makes this video all the more beautiful. “Before You Go” by Lewis Capaldi is a heartbreaking song by itself, as the singer belts about losing a loved one who took their own life. The video for this song is basically a highlight reel of one girl, who seems to have a perfect life. But at the end of the video, her friends and family are gathered to honor her after she took her own life. This beautiful video is hard to watch but tells an important story.

10. “Safe and Sound” – Taylor Swift feat. The Civil Wars

We’re circling back around to the amazing Taylor Swift with our final video because I just couldn’t resist including it. The song “Safe and Sound” by Taylor Swift feat. The Civil Wars was originally made for The Hunger Games soundtrack, and the video certainly reflects that. In the video, Taylor wanders around a forest barefoot in a long white dress, almost resembling a ghost. The song is hauntingly beautiful on its own, but the barren landscape and the fires smoking in the distance make you feel like you’re watching another version of The Hunger Games

Pop music videos have the power to take a song to the next level. Let us know in the comments what your favorite music videos are!
