7 Podcasts We Are Loving Right Now
Just about everyone I know is listening to podcasts right now. They’re a perfect way to kill some time and keep yourself entertained on long drives or whatever else. Here are some of the best podcasts that you should check out!
1. Schnitt Talk
Honestly, this is definitely one of my favourite podcasts on this list. It’s a Barstool Sports podcast that’s made by girls, for girls. Host Ellie & her producer Alanna talk about just about every single topic that regularly goes on in any girls lives. Whether it be cheating, Greek life, liking your best friend, or anything in between, they’ve got you covered with helpful advice and not to mention some awesome guests from time to time. Bonus: You can definitely get amazing online deals from one of their various sponsors like Honey!
2. VIEWS with David Dobrik and Jason Nash
Honestly, if you’ve ever watched any of their YouTube videos, you already know how hilarious these guys are. They can basically take any mundane topic and somehow make it absolutely hysterical, and that’s exactly what they do on this podcast. They tell all kinds of real-life stories that make this one of the perfect podcasts to listen to as a nice pick-me-up while doing just about anything. The podcast episode titles include the same level of clickbait as David’s YouTube videos, and you’ll be sure to want to watch them all at once because they’re so funny.
3. By the Book
When I first heard about the concept of this podcast, I knew immediately that it would be hilarious. On each episode, hosts Jolenta Greenberg and Kristen Meinzer entirely devote themselves to living by the (sometimes crazy) rules of various self-help books. Sometimes the results are surprisingly good, and sometimes they just make for a good laugh. At the end of the day, this podcast is among the funniest I’ve ever listened to, and the variety of books they feature keeps it interesting and fresh every episode. Definitely a must-listen.
4. I’m Afraid That
We all have some strange fears, whether we like to admit it or not. This podcast demystifies most of our fears and lets us know that we’re not the only ones with them out there! Featuring a variety of celebrity guests such as Jordan Peele and Jenny Slate, the guests talk about some of their biggest fears, and it makes for an incredible podcast. Host Daniel Zomparelli even brings on experts to explain what’s behind some of the fears, which will probably make some of the listeners who share them feel a little better.
5. Call Her Daddy
This is another Barstool Sports podcasts by girls, for girls, however this one’s a little more X-Rated. Hosts Alexandra Cooper and Sofia Franklyn share pretty much every detail of their lives, and the results are amazing. Nothing is off limits on this podcast; The girls talk about their own relationships, sex lives, lots of embarrassing moments they’ve experienced, and just about anything else you can think of. It’s sure to give you a great laugh, and you should definitely give it a try, you’ll probably be hooked too.
6. The Vanished
This podcast is definitely not as light-hearted as most of the others on this list. It focuses on the real-life tales of unsolved missing persons cases, often including interviews with the person’s friends or loved ones. These are the cases that you often don’t see in the media, so host Marissa Jones is really trying to get the word out there about these cases and make a positive difference. It’s an extremely interesting podcast that is definitely worth the time to listen, even if true crime is not usually your thing.
7. Spittin Chiclets
Yet another Barstool Sports podcast on this list, shocking. This one is hosted by former NHL players Ryan Whitney & Paul Bissonnette, as well as Barstool Sports’ Rear Admiral. This podcast is moreso for you sports buffs out there, as they definitely focus a lot on the NHL. However, they also touch on a variety of pop culture topics that end up boasting fresh and often hilarious takes on common topics. One of the few podcasts out there right now that have such a no-holds barred take on sharing their opinions on just about anything.
