Apples highlight the array of rich fall flavors and account for hundreds of recipes during the autumn. Instead of your typical grocery store run, take an afternoon to go apple picking at an orchard. The apples are delicious, you can eat them on sight, and it makes for a fun family outing or cute date/photoshoot. No matter where you live, as long as there’s some sort of cold winter weather coming, there should be plenty of spots to view the beautiful fall foliage. They’re really not that scary if you just remember that none of it is real. If you’re even more daring and looking for a truly scary experience, visit a real haunted house in the middle of nowhere, but make sure to bring a few friends for support.
One of the most festive things to do around Halloween is decorating pumpkins and carving jack o’ lanterns. So visiting a pumpkin farm should be at the top of your fall bucket list. Pumpkin patches are great for finding the perfect pumpkins and may offer other activities such as hayrides or mazes.
