Austin is one of the best places to eat in the world. There is so much food, everywhere that you turn, and all of it is amazing! The University of Texas’ West Campus is one area in Austin that has so many food options, and all of it is truly amazing. Part of the reason is that West Campus is full of college students, and part of the reason is that Austin just has the best food. Here is a list of five places to eat in West Campus of the University of Texas at Austin.
Pizza is a classic food. Almost everybody loves pizza and being able to make a pizza customized how you like it makes it so that everybody loves pizza. Pizza Press is a build your own pizza place, where you stand in line, and much like Subway or Chipotle, you go through the line and add anything and everything that you want to the pizza, at no extra cost. You leave Pizza Press with a decently sized pizza made just how you like it at a reasonable price. I think this is one of the best places to eat in west campus if you want something fast that is absolutely delicious.
Mac and Cheese puts a smile on anybody’s face that eats it. The cheesy goodness reminds people of childhood and happiness – comfort food at it’s finest. Holy Macaroni takes Mac and Cheese to the next level. There are so many different kinds of Mac and Cheese that anybody that goes will be happy! There’s bacon mac, vegan mac, chili mac, even a chili cheese dog mac. But don’t worry, your plain and simple Mac and Cheese is also an option if you believe extra toppings take away from the magical taste that is Mac and Cheese. This food truck is the place to go if you are in the West Campus area. Plus, they are open late so you can satisfy your late night cravings!
Madam Mam’s has been one of the most famous and popular places to eat in West Campus for a long time, and for good reason. They serve incredibly delicious Thai food, and at a reasonable price! You can order one serving of Pad Thai, and the servings are very large so you also get more bang for your buck (leftovers anyone?). This is every college student’s dream!
Sushi is delicious. Raw fish might not be for everyone but it is for many, many people, including myself. Raku Sushi serves delicious sushi at an amazing price (again, the college student’s dream). Happy hour runs for many hours a day, through the night on some days, serving their sushi at a less expensive price, as well as serving very cheap drinks. If you love sushi and you love to keep some money in your pocket, then this is the place to go!
We started with pizza and now we are ending with pizza. Pizza on Point is a food truck in west campus that is a little different than the pizza you might be used to. Their pizza, instead of being flat and round, is served in the shape of a cone while being placed in a cone. Their pointed pizza is not only delicious, but it is super convenient to eat!
