7 Piercings You Should Get

Piercings can be scary for some people because of the unknown amount of pain they may cause. Despite that quick pinch of the actual piercing, the results afterwards make it all worth it. Ear piercings are without a doubt the most beautiful ways to accessorize. Truthfully, as long as the piercings look cohesive, you can never have too many of them. Plus, piercings aren’t only for ears. Realistically you could get them anywhere a needle can be stuck through. Also, if you end up disliking the piercing after awhile, you can always take it out and it will be like it was never there. So, why not go for the piercing? What is truthfully the worst that could happen?

1. Doubles

If you’re in to piercings, then obviously you have your first lobe piercing done. So, to ease yourself in to the piercing world a great next piercing to get is your doubles. Lobe piercings are without a doubt one of the easiest piercings to get which is why it makes sense to have them. It’s fun to mismatch the earrings or have dangle earring in the first hole and a stud in the other. Or have your double piercing connect to a higher piercing above on your cartilage. No matter what earring you choose, if you decide to get any other piercing get your doubles.

2. Triples

If you like the vibe your doubles gave you then why wouldn’t you go for your thirds? You can never have too many lobe piercings because the options for those earrings are endless. The beauty of these piercings is that you could have all of these piercings match or you could have them all be different. Your ear is your canvas, you can do whatever you want to it. Also, earrings really do not have to make sense which is why more piercings the better! Once you get past your thirds then it’s off to the big leagues with the ear piercings.

3. Cartilage

Cartilage piercings are what every 16 year old dreams of. It is the most courageous piercing at that age and it is truthfully so cute. Honestly, a cartilage piercing is a gateway piercing. After that, piercings will feel so easy and you will only be left wanting more. Cartilage piercings can honestly go anywhere around the perimeter of your ear. There is no wrong spot for a cartilage piercing. Especially if you get two of them. If you throw two hoops or a hoop and stud in your cartilage it will look so pretty. The options are endless and when you jewelry all starts to match one another and work together, your ear can be one of the focal points of your face.

4. Tragus

The tragus piercing sounds so intimidating but it is also one of the easiest to get. It takes less than 30 seconds for the actual piercing and honestly the worst part is not being able to sleep on that side of your head for a few weeks. It’s extremely low maintenance and you will eventually begin to forget it’s there. After having the piercing for awhile, you can go in and get your jewelry changed from the long post stud they had to pierce it with. You can go for a hoop in this piercing or get one of the higher end studs that have opal or diamonds. Since this piercing is a more difficult one to change on your own, getting an earring that costs more will be worth it because the chances of you changing it are so slim. So, why not splurge on a beautiful earring that will remain in your ear forever.

5. Nose

I don’t know why boomers think nose piercings are such a disgrace to someone’s face when in reality they’re bad ass. Nose piercings are a very simple piece of jewelry but they are so cute. I have heard no good things about the actual piercing process, keep in mind that it takes maybe five to ten seconds to get the needle through your nose and after that you are good to go. The best part about nose piercings is that if you have a stud they are extremely subtle. That being said, a hoop on your nose is edgy and sexy. No matter what nose ring you decide to go with you truthfully cannot go wrong because at the end of the day it is your face!

6. Septum

This piercing can leave someone speechless. It’s dainty, cute, out of the box. It’s everything you would want from a nose piercing honestly. The septum piercing does have some limitations on the jewelry you can put in it but it doesn’t make it any less pretty. Especially if you already have your nose pierced, those two piercings can work harmoniously together. And, if you’re someone who prefers things to be even, a septum with a nose piercing on each side… chef’s kiss. They look magnificent together. Plus the beauty behind a septum piercing is if you truly are in a situation where nose piercings are frowned upon (lame), you can tuck it up in to your nose and when you leave pop that baby back out. It’s the best of both worlds.

7. Forward Helix

The forward helix piercing is a very subtle piercing. It is not one that usually expect so your eyes are never drawn to that area of someone’s ear. However, they look darling. What’s cool about this piercing is that you can get one or you can get multiple. If you choose to get multiple, these piercings look perfect with tiny diamond studs. They truthfully look very elegant. This is another type of piercing where changing them yourself really isn’t an option, so splurging on nicer jewelry is a little guilt free because it will be in there for a super long time.
