7 Pie Recipes That Are Perfect For Fall

Tis the season for pie. With fall only being a few months away, it’s never too early to prepare, especially when it comes to pie. Is there such a thing as bad pie? I don’t think so, but either way, we’re hear to break down seven pie recipes that are perfect for fall.

1. Frozen Lime Pie

Crust instructions:

First, you will need to make a graham cracker crust and to do so, you will need these ingredients: 1 1/3 cups of Graham Cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup of melted butter, and 1/4 cup of sugar.

Combine the following ingredients. Press the crust firmly into an even layer on the pie plate. Chill the pie plate before adding the pie filling.

Pie filling instructions:

To make the pie filling, you will need: 2 eggs, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of corn syrup, 1 cup of coffee cream, 1/2 cup of lime juice, 1 cup of milk, and 1 teaspoon of grated lime rind

First, beat the eggs until mixed well; add sugar and stir. Next, add in the remaining ingredients; stir until mixed. Pour the filling into a tray and then freeze until firm. Remove the frozen filling and place into a chilled bowl and then beat until the filling comes out creamy. Pour the filling onto the pie crust and freeze until firm. Serve.

2. Pumpkin Pie (Libby’s)

To make the pumpkin pie, you will need: pie crust (9-inch), 1 can of pumpkin, 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, 2 eggs, slightly beaten, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 a teaspoon of ginger, 1/2  a teaspoon of nutmeg, and 1/2 a teaspoon of salt.

First, you will need to preheat the oven to a temperature of 425°F. Then prep the pie crust; instructions should be on the pie crust box. Combine the following ingredients in a big bowl and mix. After the filling has been mixed well, then pour the filling into the pie crust and bake in the oven for 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes, reduce the temperature of the oven to 350°F and keep the pie in the oven for 38 minutes, or until you can insert a knife into the center and it comes out clean.

3. Cherry Pie (Great Value Style)

Personally, cherry pie is my favorite. You will need the following ingredients: 2 cans of cherry pie filling, 1 egg (egg wash), a dash of sugar, 2 pie shells (for storage), and store bought pie crust.

First of all, this is a two-crust pie, so make sure that you buy the correct pie crust. Once you have prepared the pie crust according to its instructions, then evenly spread the pie filling. Place the top layer of pie crust onto the pie- you can design the top of the pie crust in a vented or lattice fashion. Once you have placed the top crust, lightly brush the egg wash onto the crust and then sprinkle the sugar. Put the pie into the oven for 43 minutes, or until it is golden brown.

4. Apple Pie (Great Value Style)

Nothing is better than apple pie. The ingredients you will need are: 2 cans of apple pie filling, 1 egg (egg wash), a dash of sugar, a dash of cinnamon, and store bought easier.

Much like the cherry pie, this is a two-crust pie. First, prepare the pie crust according to its instructions. Next, evenly spread the filling on the bottom layer of the crust and sprinkle the cinnamon on top. Place the second crust on top – design how you would like. After placing the top crust, lightly brush the crust with the egg wash and sprinkle a dash of sugar. At a temperature of 425°F, place the pie in the oven and cook for 43 minutes or until golden brown.

5. Blueberry Pie (Great Value Style)

You can’t beat a simple blueberry pie. The ingredients you will need: 2 cans of blueberry pie filling, 1 egg (egg wash), a dash of sugar, and store bought crust.

First, prepare the store bought crust (two-crust pie). Next, pour the filling onto the bottom layer of the crust and spread evenly. Place the top layer of the crust onto the pie, then lightly brush the egg wash on the pie crust; sprinkle the sugar. At a temperature of 425°F, place the pie in the oven and cook for 43 minutes or until golden brown.

6. Pineapple-Lemon Pie

This is literally the easiest pie recipe. For this pie, you will need: Graham cracker crust (store bought), 1 can of frozen lemonade, 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, 1 carton of cool whip, and 1 can of crush pineapple.

In a bowl, combine and mix the following ingredients and then pour into the graham cracker crust; put in freezer until pie is ready to serve.

7. Strawberry Pie

This is a sweet treat! You will need: baked pie shell, 1 tablespoon strawberry jello, 1 cup of hot water, 3 tablespoons of cornstarch, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 pint of sliced strawberries.

In a pot over medium heat, combine the strawberry jello, hot water, cornstarch, and sugar; stir and heat till mixture has thickened. Then, remove the pot from heat; add in the strawberries. Let cool before pouring into pie shell.
