15 Picture Perfect Places In New Orleans, Louisiana

New Orleans is full of delicious food and fantastic culture. If you get the chance to visit, you will absolutely want to document your time there. While you will want to take pictures of the classic sights such as the Natchez or the Super Dome, you will also want to find those places to amp up your Instagram. Here are 10 picture perfect places in New Orleans for you to find.

1. French Quarter Streets

The French Quarter is full of old-style buildings from the 1800s and is a must-stop when you’re visiting New Orleans. If you travel more towards the Superdome, you’ll find streets lined with palm trees that are perfect for taking any pictures.

2. The Garden District

The Garden District is home to some of the most well-preserved mansions in the Southern United States. A lot of notable celebrities own these beautiful houses, including Drew Brees and Nicolas Cage. Most of these houses are guarded by gates, but they make an amazing backdrop for your next photos.

3. Bywater

Bywater is a neighborhood in the ninth ward of the French Quarter of New Orleans that is home to unique and colorful residential houses. This neighborhood was mostly unaffected by Hurricane Katrina and is still similar to how it has always looked. The colorful homes make this neighborhood the perfect place for your Instagram photos.

4. Dauphine Street

Dauphine Street is a famous French Quarter street named after a member of the French royal family and will make you feel like one too. It houses everything from high-class restaurants to gay bars and has the perfect street corners for taking photos. New Orleans is also known for its street signs, and Dauphine is one you will definitely want to document.

5. Bourbon Street

If you’re going to travel all the way to New Orleans, Bourbon Street is a must-see. Whether it’s the beads hanging overhead, the fantastic nightlife, or just a group of strangers having a great time, there is no shortage of picture-worthy spots on Bourbon. Check out Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop or Pat O’Brien’s for great drinks and picturesque spots.

6. The Cemeteries

New Orleans is home to some pretty famous and monumental cemeteries. Not to mention they use mausoleums to bury their dead instead of grounded tombs. These large and infamous structures make for a great history lesson and even better photos.

7. St. Charles Streetcar

If you get a chance, take a ride on one of the available streetcars. The fair is only $1.25 one way and it allows you to see a lot of New Orleans that you wouldn’t typically see just from walking around. Both on the streetcar and with it in the background make for great Instagram photos.

Capturing a photo with no one in the background may prove difficult, but try to find a ledge or get there early in the morning before the rush comes through.

9. Cafe Beignet

New Orleans is full of adorable cafes and restaurants just like Cafe Beignet. Not only is the store entrance a great spot, but its Bourbon Street location also features an outdoor courtyard and patio bar. You will also want to take a photo with your classic jambalaya and the life-sized bronze statues of New Orleans musicians.

If you’re planning on eating your beignets at Cafe Du Monde itself, make sure you get there really early or be prepared for the wait.
